Drake had serpent's venom
in a bottle upon his table...
amongst his bottles of other
things that all had a label.
With my bow and arrow in my
hand he handed me a vial...
" give this to your princess "
he said with a wrinkled smile.

" It will help her with her pain "
Drake said as I took my leave.
" Arthur make sure she takes it "
and I slipped my sword into my sheath.
I bid him farewell as I left his cave
and headed to the village square...
to give Marian the medicine I held
in the pouch upon my belt there.

Soon enough I watched Marian as
she drank the odorous brew.
She made such a face after she took
it down and she just said " eww. "
" I hope this helps the pain in my
stomach " Marian said to me.
" I must go my love, I'll be back soon "
I kissed her softly and took my leave.

I returned later after she had a rest
and she was feeling better.
" Oh I feel wonderful " Marian said as
she kissed me forever.
(At least it seemed that long).
