It must have been hilarious
Whatever it was I was dreaming
Because I woke myself up
Laughing
I wish I could remember what it was
That filled me with such mirth
It’s been too long
Since I’ve felt such … giddiness
And all day I’ve been sanguine
Euphoric almost
That dreamy laugh caught in my throat,
sparkling behind my eyes
The changes that are happening
Are finally going in an upward direction
I may not be pulling myself out of the hole
But I’m beating steps into the walls
I will climb to the top
Back to a sense of normalcy
Back to my self
To the world
