When she was young
She always wore white
And I can assure you
She was quite a sight.

This simply could have been
That the color white suited her well
Or because she was as pure as a virgin
Either way, in love with her I fell.

This went on most every day
Until the day she wore red
And I know exactly why
The memory is secure in my head.

For during the blessed night before
In the presence of God it came to be
That to each other we pledged our lives
And she willingly surrendered herself to me.

And on the same precious night
That her life blood stained the bed
With all my heart and soul, I asked
If to me, she would be wed.

We married soon there after
And she's the most loving Mother
We raised two wonderful children
With unconditional love like no other.

Now we're much, much older
And 75 years have passed us by
And she sits here at my side
As I'm unfortunately about to die.

Thank you my dear precious Wife
For sharing your life with me
I cherish each and every moment
Yours now and forever I will always be.
