As I wake from my dreams
True desire all I know
My body tenses and screams
Let it go... Let it flow...

True love's scent, feel and taste
Like a fire in me burns
My heart beating in haste
Yesterday's passion returns

I attend to my soulmate
One word I long to hear
It does not come as I wait
With my time drawing near

Don't you know? Can't you see?
Just one word will appease
That word is "Coffee?"
My answer? "Yes. Please."

There is much to be said
For a morning routine
As we rise from our bed
Go in search of caffeine.
