The walls are closing in on me
As I sit here trapped in this place
Trapped by my own design.
Pull the plug, let me go
Allow me to fly allow me soar
Free from this inflicted cage.

The wheels swiftly spinning
Going nowhere fast
Stuck within this place
Can't step back
Nothing up ahead.

Dreams of a better day
Lay tattered on the floor
Among mess of what I have become
Thought I was strong yet I am not
The reality is that I am broken
Yet no one cares to see the pieces.

As they scurry through the rat race of life
I tried so hard to be the one who was there
Yet alone I sit here silently screaming
Hurting other just by being
So pull the plug, let me go
Allow me to fix the mess I've made.

Nothing but a failure
About to finally succeed
Then you can truly start to live
As the walls come crashing down
Burying me within.
