Sitting around doing nothing perfectly
Lazin' on a sunny morning in the wintertime,
Below zero brutality outside my window.
Thinking about yesterday
Wondering about tomorrow.

Shall we take out the eraser
To wipe out the stray graphite?
I'd love to go there with you
To run and skip through the hot desert sands
To dance on ledges overlooking red canyons.

The Golden Calf was broken for a reason
But sometimes I can't remember what it was.
And yes indeed I'm growing old
But it's not dark yet, I'm growing up
Becoming the child I've longed to be.
