We're far apart; out of reach.
Even halfway, we seldom meet.
Should we do,
we stride past each other:
Oblivious to the other's presence.
We can even barely
picture one another's faces.
Separately, we play out
our own modest lives.
Around people of different sorts;
comrades and foes alike.
Though, that, I somehow
hope to change:
Bridge the distance.
With a little note,
a simple verse as this.
To help break the ice...
Denounce the roaring silence
that lingers about...
May our paths find
a way to cross.
Allow us to traverse
the same trail;
the same path.
Lead us to a new dawn
that sees us:
Beings unique in our own ways,
yet united in joy;
united in life.
Bound in friendship enduring.
