I never expected anything more but
It still felt like a slap in the face, now
I am a casualty of your war
Since I have fallen from grace
It’s not that you just cast me aside
Instead it’s how you did without trying
I’m not saying that you lied
But you can bet that I’ve been crying
I think about those that came before me
And the pieces of you they’ve kept
You said I made you feel complete but
Then to you I seemed completely inept
I remind myself that you'd reach out to me
If that’s what you truly wanted
As I try to forget the charm
You so effortlessly flaunted
So much left unfinished but
Now I must manage on my own with
So many memories to keep me company
Yet I’ve never felt so alone
