A stranger was crossing the valley
in the dead of night.
The full moon lit his way in the
eerie silence.
He felt a tension in the air that
made his spine grow cold.
He thought he saw a shadow
dart there in front of him.

He began to tremble, he was
scared and thought he heard a voice.
It was a deep, raspy beastly sound
that made his hair stand up.
Again he saw a shadow that stood
up about eight feet tall.
The eerie silence was shattered
by an evil, evil growl.

The veil of a few clouds above
rumbled as a soft rain began.
The droplets fell like pebbles to
the ground right before his eyes.
As the Devil's minion stood
before him it growled once again.
The stranger stood there in
disbelief frozen in his tracks.

" Don't worry, I will let you go "
said the menacing figure.
" Thank you " said the stranger
and then he was on his way.
" Why? " asked the stranger of
the evil putrid smelling beast.
" There are more deadly things
in this world to fear. "
