Sometimes she felt the movement of the ship in the core of her gut. She wasn't afraid of the water or the vessel. For relatively safe passage, her price was her service to each worker on board. The men drew straws to determine who rode first. Last night, there was no lottery. She swayed her hips back and forth in time with the waves.
