Weariness had caught her
her ankle, her heart, her shame
Hunters circling, closed in
She was no more than plunder
To them
The Goddess isn’t defined
by her fabulous raiment
It’s her vulnerability
raptly exposing her shame
Her trust
The pillagers miss out
seeking only the shiny
the momentary thrill
She laid her heart open
And still

Like a ring, as it has a price for seller and purchaser, but also a value of artistry traded between goldsmith and anyone enjoying the sight of the skillful creation, and last but not least the symbolic meaning between the two giving and receiving trust.
