Tara sat in a corner drinking
a lonely gin and tonic and
felt so sad and lonely as she
sipped her drink ever so slowly.
This wallflower comes in once
every friday before she goes home
for a weekend in a lonely apartment
to cry because she is so lonely.

As a ballad starts on the jukebox
a tear runs down her cheek in the
dimlit lounge as she sips her drink
and feels her loneliness deep inside.
This sweet wallflower has never had
love in her life, no one to love her
and hold her in his arms at night and
make sweet passionate love to her.

Another friday night comes after a
long week that felt like a month and
Tara gets a gin and tonic once again to
drown all of her sorrows into once more.
Suddenly a man walks up and says
" Hi, I've seen you in here every friday,
do you mind if I join you for a drink? "
He smiles that smile that says everything.

Tara smiles that mile wide smile
that lightens up her beautiful face
and he says " that's the first time I've
ever seen you smile " and Tara says...
" I've never had a reason to smile before
but now I do since you've been talking to
me..." and he says " lucky me " as he sits
down and orders another drink for them.

The wallflower has finally smiled...
a smile to end her loneliness.
