Watching a Movie in Bed

Watching a movie
here in her bed
both naked
both red,
From laying out
in the afternoon sun
after taking
an afternoon run,

I made dinner
she poured the wine
we’ve seen this movie
a dozen times,
We know the characters
know the plot
can repeat each line
which we do a lot,

I ran my finger
across her skin
she said would you
do that again,
I did it again
and a third time
she said it felt
more than divine,

Then she returned
the favor to me
and as she did she said
I see,
You seem to enjoy
my tactile attention
so what in fact
might be your intention?

I didn’t answer
but rolled to her side
in the blink of an eye
I was inside,
She exhaled deep
as she’s prone to do
as we watched the couple
in the movie screw,

We came, they came
in synchronization
wondering if others
across the nation,
Were also watching
this movie and screwing
and if not
what are they doing?
