WEATHER SOFT STING

I'm still able to sit outside,
this December has not been too cold,
with the weather it's simple to abide,
if you know how to love, how to hold.

I just hold recollections of loving,
while I muse for whatever past muse,
if I find that they still are evolving,
I may put my past loves to good use.

It is technical rather than real,
what I do and which problems I solve,
getting stuck gives good cause to appeal,
once again to true life, to true love.

This December is passing like many,
in abstraction about the whole thing,
since they're gone, I may ask, "Were there any?"
But the weather confirms its soft sting.

*****

I give up, I will go for my shopping,
have a coffee, return all refreshed,
I don’t know how well I am coping,
but I'm sure I am no more well-dressed.

I must change my wardrobe, I look rustic,
have a haircut, my grooming enhance,
have a head cut(?)… that sounds too drastic,
I will skip it, I still got a chance.

This December, compared with some others,
it's being lonely, but sunny and mild,
all about needy fathers and mothers,
so, I played my role as a child.

As a child I can face all this weather,
and respond to true children in need,
I am bound for the countries of Nether,
and I'll do all I can, as agreed.

*****
Full of traffic this avenue, roaring,
coffee finished and I must get going,
if the night has still dealing and whoring,
it's beyond me and without my knowing.

This is Athens, big city, unknown,
this is me, a lost soul in its cold,
my big chances so clumsily blown,
what is left, let it free to unfold.

So, my muses, I'm left in your void,
always eager to take you in turn,
deeply thankful but quite annoyed,
that a single one of you won't return.

As an issue, I'm sure I could duck it,
claiming, all that I thought was untrue,
but I think, I would rather say, "Fuck it!
there are things more important to do."
