We walked the sands of Cape Cod
hand in hand
laughing at the shifting winds,
shaping and moving the storm clouds
across the eternity of the Sun
mixed with the sea.

We found each other then,
sharing the simplicity of love
with radiant smiles and joyous eyes.
And though the thunder has faded
in these forty years gone by,
the beauty of the beaches
reminds me once again
that I still remember you.

The sand grains of time always remain the same in the hourglass - and on the beach too. The small things that bring back good memories.
