I walk alone
The nearest person
A sneeze away.
The roads are desolate,
Having shed the smoke-spewing monsters:
Stray dogs have taken over.
The planes have lost the race
To the birds,
The original owners of the sky.
Choked leaves have woken up, opened up,
Have begun breathing.

Humans say Nature is hitting back,
Getting back its due.
But no.
Making and marring
That's Nature's nature.
It knows neither vengeance
Nor does it host anger.
Human concepts these are.
Without a grimace or yell
Nature creates and destroys.
Creates space by destroying,
Only to plant more seeds.
What dies will rise, naturally.

The happiness of seeing the endless growth and fading. Lovely - which is also just a human concept - done.
