A wish for wings that work
Set upon my lips
Place myself at your right hand
And set between your hips

I rest my hand so softly on the heat of your upper thigh
This place I know forbidden, once hidden
I look up and your warm smile catches my eye
This time we once shared, at night as we dared
Hush, they’ll hear us...
I truly didn’t care, you were there

Smooth, I raise this touch to meet your waiste, finding place
My fingers dance upon the curves your body shares
As if to dare, should this be, should we care
Silently wide, eyes shaking, drifting through desire, setting fire
Lord, I hope I never tire
You are the canvas, I am your tools, your fool

This natural wanting, hope that one day I could say
I found another to be this way, someone to stay
Embodied lust with no cost to trust
I will not let time defeat me, my memory
We are so much less now than what could be
Searching for one to be that better part of me

Our bodies begging to be made whole
Entwined, searching for a way to merge souls
For I am nothing without you, all of you
And I hope in time, your mind will want for mine
This dream, this thing I know is right
Yet my thoughts recall, stressing flight
Always putting up a fight
Please be my light
