We didn't kiss
Not the way I want anyway
Not long enough, not as many as I'd like
But I might just be
A little more needy this time

Sweet kisses in the beginning
Promised more sweetness
But unfulfilled
Not in between
Nor at the end

I don't ask for more
I learned what makes you,
What made you pull away
The last time
And I would rather settle for this
Then have you leave again

I felt you give a little more today
just that little extra, I think there was?
I will try not to mistake it for more
yet that hope still tries to grow
And I stifle it

It’s your move.
