I long to share this wonderful story but the few left in my circle would not fully understand or appreciate it. If they ever had a spark of true humanity it's long gone. Or maybe I just don't see it so it's worth a try. Thank you so much.

I know i know

You said no sequel but the very last line of the story basically left us with a cliffhanger, i'd love to read more, i know the story is in the Jack danner universe and i'd love to see a story with them together.

(for some odd reason i can't sign into my account so i'll sign this here)

This is such a simple but great story

Wonderful, wonderful story. Lets not forget that it was made possible, in part, by an unsung hero, a nameless young caseworker who's compassion for the scarred gentle giant, moved him into gardening instead of radioactive fuel cells. One person, probably never knowing how great his contribution turned out to be... took satisfaction in knowing only that he did the right thing.

.

We should all strive to be like him, doing the right thing daily, even though we can't see any possible way to profit from it. All those feelings of satisfaction accrue, permeating our souls and, one day, we'll wake to the realization that we're good people. What could be better? Great story, of course 5 stars, thanks for posting.

Ok honesty here, there were some points I just didn't care for, How do you justify letting a tool pick out the destruction of a whole people, yes you didn't show that happening? yet it could very well be the beginning of the end. I really did like this story though. it had enough action, and you explained things well, thank you ...

I like it as well. And no, it shouldn't have a sequel. You should leave it as it is.

Fun story giving some background lore on Grenville's cottage and lands where Jack's home now is. And it's also a glimpse into how screwed up Earth is in the way it treats it's (lower class) citizens. It's almost like Earth is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, while most of the linked planets inhabited by other species are in the Star Trek universe. // Anyway, I agree that just having the one installment is fine. Looking forward to more stories set in Jack's universe :-)

DAMN, WOW, AMAZING STORY! This is why your my favorite Author by far. Next in line would have to be SaddleTramp1956's. Damn, damn, damn, it doesn't matter how many times I read your stories that I'm amazed at your skill and imagination for the manner you present your thoughts. This time however I'm reading all your stories by date submitted, which I didn't do last time. Gotta give this at least 5 BIG ASS FUCKING HUGE FLAMING NOVA STARS once again! Thank you again BurntRedStone, you're the BEST!

I Do hope there are more stories to fill the gap between this and his meeting with Bayley in Jack Danner's Series. He Really deserves to have his story told.

Darn. A military genius could’ve led a revolt to restore freedom to the known universe….

Excellent!!! I hope I find other "origin stories" of the characters in the "Jack" series. Those would be a great read!

Kismet. Two lonely and broken souls heal their wounds by rapport and need.

This really needs a follow up story that ties in with the latest Jack story… or at least gets us part way there.

A beautiful story.
