Activated Pt. 07

I know what she wants in exchange for this, I am not sure it is enough. People are going to see this and feel warmth, and then they are going to be so envious.

After another 5 or so minutes she has put the final touches and signs it, I can't tell how long, I was mesmerized watching her paint. I can't imagine anyone is going to be entranced watching me work on a computer or Jen translating. Calliope's skill is truly a gift.

"Sorry about that, I probably should have taken a picture rather than have you pose that long. I hope it wasn't uncomfortable."

"You just did 2 identical paintings in an hour, that alone would be an accomplishment but I just look at them and I feel warm, I feal friendship."

She turns to look at them, her head at an angle, "Yeah, they came out pretty good."

I snort, "Good, ha! What do you say we go to an early dinner, my treat. We don't want you to be a starving artist."

She pulls a large blanket out from her gear and spreads it on the ground in front of the pictures.

"How about we hang here for a little bit while the paint dries a first, then dinner. We're going to need some time before you can take them home, we don't want to risk smudging them. So, I seem to remember there was something happening on Wednesday?"

We settle on the blanket, looking up at the sky and the paintings. Jen goes into detail about her big night, about Alex being the one she loves. It is a little sappy but that is Jen and she deserves to be in love even if it is a little sappy.

This seems so nice I didn't want to spoil it with my story but Jen starts push me to share so I go into the detail including some of the nanite related speculation I had. How I seemed to realized something was in the drink and of course how I hit him like a truck. We talked about how I'm getting the girls to take defense classes and I'm working to be a ninja.

"Ninja?"

"Sexy Hacker Ninja, yep."
