"I'm sure you've heard is lame violence solves nothing speech."
Joe made a deeper voice, "Young lady, violence only leads to more violence in a never-ending cycle of violence."
Jackie laughed. "He said exactly that."
"I know it well."
Jackie talked a little longer, telling Joe that she did feel bad because she lost control and may have injured Doreen with that heavy textbook, but she closed with... "I'll never apologize. That big bitch had it coming."
"I can't wait to see you," Joe said. "I wish I could hug you right now. Thank you for defending the Theroux name."
"Me too. I love you, brother."
"I love you, sister."
