One year later.

Four sets of six grey cubicles, each housing a desk and computer, were spread out over the white tiled floor. The orange rays of sunrise entered through the horizontal blinds and perished in the fluorescent light cast from the high ceiling. The cubicles seemed small in comparison to the room. Dean Johnson always found the décor bleak and expressionless rather than the sophisticated intention.

The stillness of the office was interrupted by the buzz of Dean's desk phone. The call had been automatically re-routed to him because he was the only employee clocking in so early. He stifled a yawn and answered.

"Good morning, Aphrodite Campaigns," he did his best to sound alert.

"Oh hi! My name is Claire. I'm starting a new job with you today but I'm afraid that I've lost track of the exact address of the office," the voice of a young femme smiled apologetically on the other end.

"Nice to meet you, Claire. You will find us at 32 Margret Street on level 12," he answered in a slightly more familiar tone.

"Ok, I'll see you at 9. And I'll let them know that the boy at reception was very helpful," she hung up before he could correct her.

Dean had recently been promoted from reception and was now a junior member of a creative team. He had just spent a year manning the reception desk and was glad to see the last of that job.

Turning back to his computer, he resumed typing up his new idea for an advertising campaign for a client. The concept had occurred to him the night before, so he arrived early in order to prepare something before the brainstorming meeting at 9:30. He glanced up at the date clock on his computer which read:

7:48 Tuesday the 24th of January 2195

One by one, his co-workers arrived. The new receptionist entered just before 8 am and began his day. Brent was the only other male who worked on level 12. They gave each other a routine nod before going about their daily business.

Brent was slightly more muscular than Dean with brown hair in a sleek and regimented part to one side. This was his first job out of high school, making him several years younger. He was wearing skin- tight leggings that accentuated his bubble butt with tight seam that rode up is ass. Those pants were obviously designed to show off his jutting bulge in an elastic pouch. For his top, he wore and a sleeveless, muscle-fit shirt that hugged his meaty chest to show off his masculine arms. The shirt's thin, sheer-like material did little to hide the perky shape and of Brent's nipples which looked like they were about to pierce through the fabric thanks to the cool office air.

Dean's jaw tightened.

"How can us boys be taken seriously when one of us dresses like that?!" he thought.

Worse, Brent's sexy outfits seemed to have fuelled the flames of male objectification in the office even further. Dean lost track of the number of times he overheard his colleagues' inside jokes, in which Brent's nipples were cheekily referred to as "headlights" or "his second pair of eyes". Or his jiggling genital pouch as "Brent's big bouncing blue balls".

Dean wanted to say something to him but couldn't find the words. After his career in femme entertainment, he hardly felt like he could preach to the new receptionist about modesty. Besides, for a male receptionist, Brent's outfit was very much in line with the current trends Dean had been seeing everywhere from shopping malls and online stores to fashion magazines and social media.

Brent began booting up the computer at reception. The desk was directly in front of the elevator door. He grabbed a bin and began the same morning routine that Dean had taught him.

"Pick up rubbish, sweep if needed, check that the fridges are stocked and place orders where necessary, clean the toilets before everyone arrives and unload the dishwasher in the break room," Dean told him on his first day several weeks ago.

It made more sense to do this in the morning when the office was mostly empty. Cleaning in the early morning made sure that they would be ready for the new work day.

Brent greeted some co-workers as they began to trickle in at about 8:30. As Dean focused on the screen, he could hear the slapping sound of rubber gloves being put on in preparation to clean the toilets.

The elevator doors opened and the clicking of heels on the tile floor was like a homing beacon for feminine movement in the periphery of his mind. The heels would send out a crack under the weight of the ladies with each step. In contrast, Dean and Brent would move silently in their soft-soled flat bottom shoes.

He heard the approaching click-clack.

"Morning Dean," Mary's voice interrupted his concentration.

"Good morning," he responded without looking away from his screen.

"Are you coming out with us tonight? The accounting team are going to the bar across the road," she said.

Dean felt that it was now too rude to look away and forced a smile up at her intimidating figure. Her fashionably rotund frame was bolstered by the hip padding of a typical black business dress which hung down to the floor completely obscuring her legs. Her blouse was done up to her neck and she wore a loose fitting suit jacket that suggested a large bust without revealing any form. Her grey hair was tied back in a business-like bun.

Mary's outfit was the fashion for femme in any position of power; a pseudo uniform that advertised generous feminine proportions while reinforcing a lady's dignified modesty. He felt his stomach lurch slightly as the married lady in her sixties smiled at him with confidence. Her face creased along the lines of her wrinkles.

Dean knew the look of lust that a femme gets; it was especially common amongst older ladies. He tried to act normally as she undressed him with her eyes.

"I don't know Mary. I'm just swamped. I've got this report due at the end of the week and I haven't even started," he shrugged.

"The cost projections?" she shifted her stance a bit closer.

Dean looked up and nodded.

"I'm about to talk to Riya about those. We don't really need them for a couple of weeks anyway," she said.

"Oh," Dean took a breath.

"Besides, work isn't just about reports. You also need to build relationships if you want to progress. I'm happy to cover you if money is an issue."

"No, I can cover myself," Dean sighed, "I guess you're right."

"Wonderful! I'll come get you at 5!"

The new employee arrived at about 9:15 am. Dean had just finished up his meeting preparations and was free to show her around.

She was roughly twenty years of age. Her long, straight, caramel hair was tied back in a practical ponytail and like many young femme she wore no makeup. Hers was the first generation to whom makeup was considered unfashionable, even shameful. For the contemporary femme, putting effort into one's beauty was seen as a compensation for a lack of ability. Successful ladies preferred to not think of such trivial things.

She stood a head taller than Dean in her heels and was carrying a bit of extra weight. Gaining some extra fat around the hips and waist was generally considered a desirable sign of maturity amongst femme, but Dean secretly found athletic femme more attractive. Everything about her was consistent with the average 20- year- old. She could have just as easily been an actress representing the '20-25 every femme' demographic in one of their advertising campaigns.

She greeted him with excitement and a dash of surprise, "Oh hi! I'm Claire. You must be that lovely receptionist I spoke to on the phone."

"Yes. I'm Dean. Well, I don't actually work in reception. That's Brent's job."

He nodded subtly over at the handsome young man sitting behind the desk.

"Oh I see. What do you do around here then?" her eyes wandered south before returning to his face.

A look like that always made Dean self-conscious. He wondered what she was thinking. Was she comparing him to Brent?

"I'm a junior member of your team. I'll be showing you the ropes today," he said softly.

Despite being the more senior employee, her appraising gaze still took him right back to his previous line of work. When a femme gives him that look, she certainly isn't thinking of his personality or competence.

"Oh, what a treat. That's very sweet of you. I was hoping to meet my boss, Riya Patel."

"Yes, she will be in shortly. I'll be getting you settled in first."

"Fine, lead the way then."

Her tone was slightly shaper.

"Certainly, ma'am."

Before he could even think, he had replied with a slightly lowered head and began leading the way.

For a moment, he was transported back to his time at Supreme Sisters, when one of the coven sisters had just ordered him to fetch her a drink.

The way that she spoke to him with such certitude made him feel small. He wondered if she resented being subordinate to a male and was attempting to feel in charge by giving him an order. The fact that Dean had been so eager to automatically comply left a humiliating aftertaste that gradually dawned on him.

As he lead her around the office, he could almost feel her eyes on him. His work at Supreme Sisters and dancing at Lady Lakshmi's palace had instilled in him greater discipline for physical training and grooming. He wore a tight button-down shirt made of elastic material that hugged his defined chest muscles and tight pants that did the same for his ass. This form-fitting style was now common for what few men still worked in the office. But it was still positively conservative compared to the cutting edge fashion that Brent would squeeze into every day.

It felt good to have a femme near his own age ogling him for once. But at the same time, Dean worried that he wouldn't be taken seriously in his outfit. The problem was that he had a great deal of trouble finding semi-formal office attire that wasn't made of form-fitting elastic designed to flaunt his figure.

He wore a thin layer of makeup to conceal minor imperfections on his skin. These days, most boys who wanted to look their best would do so; it was in stark contrast to the practices of his fore-fathers but one that had recently become common, even expected.

He began introducing her to the ladies in the office and as they made their way around, he also showed her the printer, lunch pantry and unisex bathrooms -- both femme-only and unisex. Dean explained that the unisex bathroom used to be the male restroom but since there were only two boys on the entire floor, it was converted to unisex to maximize the space.

He then helped her get settled into her new desk next to his.

Dean had spent 5 years earning a Masters in Business Administration and Marketing, followed by a year as a receptionist before finally getting a position on a creative team. It took him six years to earn that desk and pay level after completing high school; this young lady had done the same in only three.

Being a femme, she was eligible for the United Nations equal pay grant. This meant that the United Nations global government would contribute an additional 50% to her pay directly as an equity initiative. Reflecting on this reality made his blood boil and his jaw tighten.

"It's just the way things are from now on. No point getting upset about what you can't change," he thought as he took a deep breath.

His rage was quickly tempered by the consideration that she might just have the right connections, or perhaps she would turn out to be some kind of advertising prodigy. It wasn't his place to judge.

"So here is your personal directory, team files are over here," he said while dragging the mouse across the screen.

"Thanks honey. I've seen this system before while I was interning at Mesanet," she smiled.

"Oh wow. I see why Riya was so keen to have you on board. And here I am, mansplaining away," Dean smiled but felt a pang of jealousy.

"Ahahaha," Claire laughed a little bit louder than he expected.

"Don't be silly. I could listen to you all day. It's really cute that you know all this stuff!"

Dean smiled awkwardly. He knew there was a compliment in there somewhere.

Before he could reply, he saw Riya stepping off the elevator.

He stood up as the team leader approached and introduced Riya Patel and Claire to one another.

"Oh I can help Claire get settled in from here," Riya said, "Besides, we have a meeting in five minutes, sweetie."

She raised her eyebrows slightly with an expectant inflection on the word 'sweetie'. Looking down at him from atop her heels with a warm smile, her broad frame was still slightly intimidating.

He took this as a prompt to get the room ready and responded with a quick, "Right away, Miss Patel," before grabbing a few things off his desk and heading to the meeting room.

--

The project team began to file in as Dean was positioning a plate of donuts in the middle of the table next to a chilled jug of water. The table was triangular with streamlined curves and a short side making the head. Being the team leader, Riya Patel sat at the head of the table. She had always given special focus to order and hierarchy.

Riya seemed like a true workaholic to everyone on the team. And all of her hard work had paid off, at 45, she was the most successful creative team director in the company despite only having been there for a couple of years. Dean had heard that she was some talent hire from India.

With filaments of grey in her black hair and quite a bit of extra weight, her body showed consequences of the sedentary lifestyle that came along with her work ethic. She wasn't a physically attractive lady by any measure, but Dean had been taught since he was a child that it was hateful to judge a femme by her looks; this was something that he still believed to be true.

While they were waiting for the new girl, Brenda, Janice and Danica made idle conversation. Riya was going over her meeting notes and Eleanor was staring into space with her cheek perched on her palm.

Eleanor had blonde hair and was unusually tall and slender. She was a couple of years younger than Dean but they ended up in the same class at college when she qualified for advanced placement. They had both interviewed for a position on the creative team over a year ago, but Eleanor was preferred so Dean was offered a receptionist position as a conciliation.

Disappointing as it was, it got his foot in the door. And now here he was, on a the creative team of one of the top advertising firms he admired.

"Someone looks like they were up late last night!" Janice grinned at Eleanor who was jolted out of her stupor.

A grin crept across Eleanor's face.

"Well, I went on a date with a boy I met on Artemis," she did her best to suppress a smile which then became a grin.

"OOh wow, another conquest! Give us the score!" Janice whispered loudly with haughty playfulness. Her vicarious grin wrinkled her face as she brushed her greying hair to one side.

Eleanor failed to repress her delight, as she passed her phone to Janice.

Claire entered the room with an apologetic smile before finding her seat.

"Well, his name was is Lorenzo. I'd give him 7 in charms, an 8 in looks and a 7 in the sack."

"My Goddess El. You're either spoilt or blind. Those charms are a solid 9. That big curvy cock with a nice tight snipping, he looks at least a 9 overall!"

Danica peered down her nose and through her glasses at the screen, "Yeah! What does a 10 look like to you El!?"

"Did he give up the goods for ya? Can we expect a daughter to be on the way!?" Janice smirked.

"Come on now ladies. Save the club talk for when were aren't in the presence of a boy. We need to respect all team members," Riya interrupted.

Dean was sitting in silence staring at his notebook.

Most ladies would not usually boast so openly about their sexual conquests. But Aphrodite Campaigns was a progressive workplace that encouraged femme to celebrate their sexuality "free of misogynistic judgments".

As Dean's mother had always said, "A lady must never be made to feel ashamed of her desires."

Dean did his best to be a good sport and forced a grim smile.

Riya invited Claire to introduce herself. To Dean's surprise, the new girl had no qualifications other than her undergraduate degree.

Danica, Janice and Brenda all introduced themselves to Claire. They shared similar backgrounds prior to the getting their positions at the agency but at least they did a few months of internship first.

Next was Eleanor. She gave a brief description of her thesis and how it was relevant to their work. Unlike Dean, she landed a position on the team at Aphrodite Campaigns straight out of graduation and had already begun to draw the admiration of the higher-ups during her first year at the company.

As usual, Riya called on Dean last. The long wait gave him plenty of time to start feeling nervous.

"I'm Dean, junior team member. Got promoted to the team a couple of weeks ago. I also went to UCLA, in the same class as Eleanor."

Claire gave him a warm smile and nodded while she listened.

"I've been at the company for over a year now. My th-"

"And might I add that Dean has been so welcoming and supportive of me today!" Claire interrupted with a sincere tone.

"Yeah, he's our star boy alright," Eleanor added, joining in a collective smile.

Before Dean could mention his thesis, Riya started moving things along.

"Ok down to business, we have a big project to begin. Mesanet Corporation's 'Choose Health' campaign. This could turn out to be our biggest project yet, if all goes well," she scanned her laptop as she spoke.

"Oh, before we begin," Eleanor raised a pen in the air, "who wants a coffee from downstairs?"

General accord filled the room. Dean wanted to get down to business and remained silent.

"How do you have yours Claire?" Eleanor asked.

"Oh just a flat white with four sugars, thanks!," she smiled gratefully with a dash of surprise in her voice.

"Thanks Dean, you know all of our usual orders," Eleanor said in an appreciative tone.

Dean nodded silently and forced a smile as he stood up and walked out. He knew that there was no point being upset about it, as a male he felt that it was his job.

"Dean is exceptional at that this sort of thing. When ever we want an event planned, he is our boy!" Eleanor explained to Claire.

"That's wonderful! Everyone has their natural strengths!" Claire responded with a massive grin as he was making his way out the door. Glancing back, he noticed that her eyes were following his butt.

While he was getting the coffees, he began to think over the broad context of their new campaign -- remembering everything he had been taught in school.

The genetic inoculation program had been running for one hundred years with globally acclaimed success. The program integrated gene editing into an artificial insemination process. It was designed to eliminate imperfections that were the cause of most diseases.

One hundred years on, a large majority of diseases had been eliminated and many others were on the run. Diabetes and heart disease were a thing of the past and even cancer had been eradicated. The only side effects were changes in sexual dimorphism. Femme became taller and heavier on average with wider hips and a more distinctly feminine shape in general. They also became much more stimulated by visual erotic imagery and their sex drive increased to significantly surpass that of the traditional male. Males on the other hand became slightly shorter but more muscular. Some other parts of the male anatomy were enlarged, but Dean preferred not to dwell on that.

After a couple of decades, these treatments were adopted universally. The fear of having a child with a genetic disease was too great and it overcame any fear of the side effects. Many citizens expressed deep concern over the implications of the side effects, but they were hailed as human advancements by all public intellectuals.
