And me? Well, I'm very happy as the Managing Director of B&A Engineering. It was going to be Bennett & Associates, but before we even registered it, we all agreed that it was a bit of a mouthful, so B&A it became.

And our biggest outside shareholder, after the finance boys? Well, that's Lady Parkinson. Yes, Stephen's knighthood was announced in the New Year Honours. Frances put one million into our little venture, and we have an unwritten agreement that Sir Stephen will be our Chairman as soon as he retires from ITI. I think she sees a monthly trip to Exeter from Cirencester as a nice day out.

And, am I happy? Yes, more than I ever hoped or deserved. Of course, if I look back I can get angry and hurt and sad. So the trick is not to look back.

Second time reading through. Most chapters were 5*. I am an American MD for a British company, so really enjoyed the business background plot line- much of which rings true.

About 10 chapters too long but still a good story. I just can't give it 5 stars.

Ended pretty much as I predicted at the end of chapter 12. Not sure the intervening 10 pages of melodrama were really worth the time spent reading them. But I guess every one to their own and Eastenders and Coronation street have millions of views watching the same thing over and over day in day out.

I loved it, gave it 5 stars, and the length didn't bother me one bit.Yes in the middle of the story it seemed like it kept circling, but as the following chapters came, it seemed to flow out better and gave the reader more insight into what was going to happen next (foreshadowing). I really enjoyed this chapter, as both Chris and Molly got married, settled their differences, got the family on her side to open up and reconcile. Chris on the other hand got a new secretary (Carole with an E), a new finance manager in Myra, and a new Chairman in Sir Stephen (when he retires from ITI), which made Lady Frances happy. Chris surrounded himself with good people again, and will make the company a go. The only thing that was missed was whether or not Molly had a girl (of course she was only 7 months along, but you can tell the sex at that point). That was Molly's future dream for them.

Was a bit wobbly in a few sections, but here I made it! So can honestly say Still here. Enjoyed the writing and the story on the whole.

But to any budding writers out there please, please learn the correct use of; you, your, you are[you're] it is basic English. Pick up a dictionary, often it is way more useful than a web search that inundates you with BS info.

For a bit in the latter chapters I thought Chris would never get to a decision, but in the end it was worth all that reading. A very well written story.

I really enjoyed this story. To be frank, it's one of the best written ones on this entire website. There were parts that I felt were a bit over long and other parts I wish that were longer, but overall I didn't get bored reading it and pretty much read the whole thing straight through. I think it'd make a fine novella if it was ever published (is it?)

Reading the comments in "Loving Wives" is always a mixed bag, but particularly when the story has a reconciliation in it after an affair - even when the story is OBVIOUSLY tagged as such (why read it if you are 100% against the premise? That should tell you something about the mental state of these people) but for what it's worth I thought you did a fair job of touching all of the serious problems that go along with reconciling after an affair and I honestly think you may have made Molly too much of a sympathetic character.

In this, I mean, not only did she suffer from the breakdown of her marriage, which frankly as it was portrayed was pretty hellish for her, but you quasi let her off the hook for the initial betrayal by casting Peter as a manipulative date rapist and having her mother working against her and Chris from almost the get go. These were fine drama points I guess, but not necessary I think to make Molly sympathetic. In my personal opinion, a good person can do a horrible thing in the wrong moment, especially if they are naive, or under mental pressure and I think it would have been fine to portray Molly as someone who simply lost sight of what was important to her, only to find out that her lapse in judgement cost her more than she ever bargained for.

As it stands, even without giving her the extra "excuses" for the infidelity, I thought that her guilt and remorse came across as both authentic and deep and her desire to make amends to Chris and their children was a theme throughout her entire part of the story. There are a lot of people who say that she didn't "deserve" to regain Chris's love and there are people who will criticise Chris's act of taking her back, but I think that's really just their own problem as the result was quite frankly, the best outcome for both of these characters given how they were written and what their own desires were - as it was clear, they both sincerely loved each other and wanted to reunite their family. I'm glad they got there and I'm certain that if the price Chris has to pay is some lingering trust issues, well... insecurity is a bitch, but is it worth denying yourself what you want? I think a lot of people should ask themselves that question in all facets of their lives.
