Better Days

Jim sat in shock for a moment. He had never considered another child but the idea did not repel him. He pulled Cheryl into his arms and gave her a gentle kiss on the top of her head. He said, "Cheryl I had never considered that but I don't think I am against it. I am afraid I might not be too much help to you with it though. You know I am 47 now and by the time a child is born and raised I will be in my late 60's. If we are going to do this I think we need to do it now."

"Really? Oh, yes, please, can we have a baby that is wholly ours? I can stop taking my pills now and we can work on it really hard."

Jim laughed and said, "OK. Let's do it Honey."

And life goes on....

Another wonderful story. Being retired military myself I enjoyed reading about other military retires (even if he was Army and I was Navy).Continue with wonderful stories for us to read.
