Birthday Pool Party Ch. 00

Hey guys, here's a cast of characters for Birthday Pool Party! I received a request to create a cast of characters that could be referenced later on. I thought it was a great idea, so I went with it. If you haven't read Birthday Pool Party yet, you might want to wait to read this, as it does contain minor spoilers. I tried to avoid mentioning any plot points, and I described the characters as they are as of Chapter 01. Please note that Birthday Pool Party is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to any real person is purely coincidental. As always, this is a world without STI's, and everyone involved in sexual activity is at least eighteen years old.

~Introduction~

When I first started writing Birthday Pool Party in 2022, I had no idea that I would be working on it for well over a year and that it would continue for dozens of chapters. It all started with a dream I had about a freckled redhead in a light blue bikini. Which was strange, since I never remember my dreams! Either way, I feel like I have really grown as a writer thanks to Birthday Pool Party.

I made a lot of mistakes, especially during the beginning of the story. If I knew how long the story would be, I definitely would have come up with a different title! However, I really love the characters and this entire world. I hope to continue exploring the character's lives in other works in the future. We'll see where things go!

I write in a world with out sexually transmitted infections(STI's). This is a fantasy world, and STI's suck, so why should they exist in a fantasy world? In addition, this world has an amazing form of birth control that is over 99% effective, and essentially stops menstruation. This enables characters to engage in sexual behavior that would be considered very risky if they occurred in real life. Also, there are a lot of characters, and keeping track of every woman's cycle would be a nightmare! I repeat, this is a fictional world!

About Birthday Pool Party; the story begins on Saturday March 15, 2025. Now, I wasn't very meticulous with dates in earlier chapters, so there might be some inaccuracies. This should be resolved in later chapters.

The story is set in the fictional city of Ashwood, California, which is located in Southern California. Most of the main characters are seniors in high school when the story begins, and they all attend Adrienne Dennis High School. You may recognize the name, which is a tribute to an amazing author, which is used with permission.

Everyone in the story who engages in sexual activity is at least eighteen years old. The characters all have families, and, as a result, there are definitely characters in the story who are younger than eighteen. However, none of the characters under eighteen will engage in any sexual activity, nor will they be placed in any sexual situations.

For this cast of characters, I plan to split it into three sections. The first will be Main Characters. These are characters who will appear in most chapters, and most of them will have their own Point of View sections. The exception to this is Lexi, who is the only main character to never get a point of view section.

Second is Supporting Characters. They are important to the story, but are not Point of View characters. They could be siblings or lovers of main characters, or just prominent people in the world. Either way, their sections won't be quite as fleshed out.

Finally, we have the Minor Characters. These characters might only appear a couple of times. Maybe they'll only be mentioned once. Their inclusion in this chapter is mainly so the reader can reference them later on and be aware that they exist. This will be a long list, and I may add to it later. For the most part, I'll include very little information about them in their descriptions, since they just aren't that prominent. At least not yet.

In conclusion, this cast of characters is meant to be a reference for Birthday Pool Party. There absolutely will be information below that the reader might not find out until later chapters of the story. The spoilers will be minimal, but they do exist. There may even be information that has not been explicitly stated in the story itself. If you have not read Birthday Pool Party at all yet, you might want to skip this chapter and only come back later when you need to reference who someone is. You've been warned. Also, if you are new to Birthday Pool Party, please don't judge me too harshly on earlier chapters! I like to think the story comes into its own further down the line. Steven Thomson -- Date of Birth: 29 September, 1984.

Description: 6'0", muscular, brown hair, green eyes.

Steven is a self-made man who used a modest inheritance to start a company known as Thomson Finance. Having lost his wife over ten years ago, Steven can be considered a very sad man. Still, his daughter, Kayla, is the light of his life. Despite his devotion to Kayla, Steven is not a controlling parent. He respects Kayla's right to run her own life. The youngest of three, Steven is estranged from most of his family. Steven loves video games, reading, and board games, although the Sunday Family Game Night was abandoned after the death of Aria Thomson. While he does workout every day, Steven isn't a big fan of sports, especially golf. He also loves country music.

Kayla Thomson -- Date of Birth: 09 March, 2007.

Description: 5'5", slim, raven hair, green eyes, C-cup.

This girl is everyone's friend! Happy and outgoing, Kayla is a popular cheerleader who loves her friends and family. After the loss of her mother, Kayla became very close with her father; she is truly Daddy's little girl. While everyone knows her, Kayla's best friend is Hazel Collins, and the two of them are also very close with Marcia Moore and Ashley Bartlett. The four girls have been friends for years. Kayla is a great student, and looks forward to a bright future. She is crazy about her boyfriend, David Cooper. Like her father, Kayla loves games.

Hazel Collins -- Date of Birth: 17 November, 2006.

Description: 5'9", slim, fit, tan, long brown hair, brown eyes, B-cup.

Hazel Collins and Kayla Thomson have been best friends since elementary school. As part of a very religious family, Hazel had a very strict upbringing. Her parents don't make a lot of money and work long hours, leaving Hazel to watch her three little brothers. Hazel is like a parent to her brothers, who she loves with all her heart. Hazel is also very close to her grandmother. A lover of good television, Hazel will often stay up late watching her shows. As a result, she is absolutely not a morning person. One of Hazel's defining features is her long brown hair, which she always keeps in a ponytail that falls almost to her butt.

Ashley Bartlett -- Date of Birth: 01 September, 2006.

Description: 5'11", slim, blonde hair, blue eyes, DD-cup.

The most outgoing of the Gang of Four, Ashley is always up for anything! She loves music and dancing, and is usually the first to make a witty remark. Ashley loves her baby sister, Melissa, who she loves to playfully tease. Ashley is a great student, despite her cavalier attitude toward her classwork, and she is a terrible cook.

Marcia Moore -- Date of Birth: 04 February, 2007.

Description: 5'3", slim, raven hair, brown eyes, C-cup.

Marcia is a very quiet girl. Is she shy? Kind of, but it's more she's just the type to observe and not speak. An only child, Marcia is doted on by her parents, who are so proud of their daughter for how hard she works at school. Marcia tends to do her best to rein in the others, preventing them from doing anything too crazy.

Alexis "Lexi" Davis -- Date of Birth: 06 September, 2006.

Description: 5'2", slim and lightly freckled, red hair, green eyes, B-cup.

Lexi is not very popular. She isn't teased, it's more that she's ignored. The beautiful, lightly-freckled redhead had an older brother and sister, and always feels like she lives in their shadows. Her parents are very judgmental, and expect their children to never disappoint, despite their own failings. Due to overwhelming pressure, Lexi ends up in a toxic relationship with Keith Strulk. There are a lot of unsavory rumors going around the school about Lexi's wild sex life. Rumors are often exaggerated, so who knows what the truth is? Lexi loves club/dance music.

Stacey Martin -- Date of Birth: 21 July, 1999.

Description: 5'5", slim, long blonde hair, blue eyes, C-cup.

After a fairly stereotypical high school and college experience, Stacey became the executive assistant to Steven Thomson, and is an irreplaceable member of Thomson Finance. Thanks to the high paying job, Stacey is able to afford her own apartment so that she no longer has to live with her college roommate, April Heidele. Stacey has an amazing head for numbers, and is a wizard with spreadsheets. She loves pop music and drama television shows. In addition, Stacey has been drawing since she was a little girl, however she keeps this to herself, not letting anyone see her work. Stacey has had feelings for Steven Thomson ever since she first started working for him, but has never had the courage to pursue the obviously sad man.

Nicole Davis -- Date of Birth: 26 January, 1999.

Description: 5'4", slim and lightly freckled, long red hair, green eyes, B-cup.

Nicole was much more popular in high school than her younger sister, Lexi. Despite this, Nicole never dated very much. She majored in accounting in college, and is now a certified public accountant. Nicole has her own apartment, and works as a Staff Accountant. With her own friends, Nicole isn't involved in her baby sister's life.

April Heidele -- Date of Birth: 06 September, 1999.

Description: 4'11", petite, wavy blonde hair, green eyes, B-cup.

This tiny girl is full of energy! April moved to the area for college and never left, partially thanks to her friendship with her roommate throughout college, Stacey Martin. The little nerd is of Scandinavian descent, and she wears cute black framed glasses. April majored in computer science, she loves club/dance music, and science fiction.

Sarah McLorn -- Date of Birth: 02 August, 1996

Description: 5'7", firm and toned, short light brown hair, brown eyes, B-cup.

Sarah McLorn is an Ashwood City Police Detective. Due to being the only female detective in the department, she is often chosen to handle sensitive cases involving children or sexual assault. Her kind, baby face puts people at ease. Sarah has an intense workout regimen and is in amazing shape.

David Cooper -- Date of Birth: 12 October, 2006.

Description: 5'11", average build, brown hair, brown eyes.

David Cooper is Kayla Thomson's boyfriend. He is very popular and has a lot of friends. While David isn't a football player, he would often attend school games to cheer on the team, and admire Kayla in her uniform. David is very charming, and Steven believes that he is a good guy for his baby girl. David enjoys watching sports.

Brittney O'Connor -- Date of Birth: 04 November, 2006.

Description: 5'8", slim, blonde hair, brown eyes, D-cup.

The captain of the cheer squad, Brittney is a stereotypical party girl. She has dated a lot of football players, but is more well-known for attending college fraternity parties. Brittney is drop-dead gorgeous, and can charm anyone with her smile. She's very active, and an amazing dancer.

Ian Krause -- Date of Birth: 30 December, 2006.

Description: 5'10", scrawny, dirty blonde hair, light blue eyes.

Ian is very shy and introverted. He's considered nerdy, and he spends most of his time with his best friends, Josh Greene and Shawn White. Certain members of the football team often bully Ian, and he can't wait to finish high school. Ian loves to read, and is a huge fan of model rockets.

Josh Greene -- Date of Birth: 03 March, 2007.

Description: 6'0", average build, curly blonde hair, blue eyes.

Like many nerds, Josh is shy and introverted, exactly like his friend Ian. Josh loves animals, and spent many days of his youth at a local farm. Thanks to his two older sisters, Josh is an amazing cook. He's a sweetheart.

Shawn White -- Date of Birth: 14 February, 2007.

Description: 5'10", average build, brown hair, brown eyes.

Shawn is very outgoing, despite not being very popular. The nerd is never afraid to speak up, especially if someone is being mean to his friends, Ian or Josh. With a very expressive face, he is easy to talk to. Like his friends, Shawn loves reading and technology.

Keith Strulk -- Date of Birth: 19 September, 2006

Description: 6'1", muscular, raven hair, brown eyes.

Keith is very well known around the school. In addition to dealing drugs, he takes bets on various school sporting events. He has been suspended multiple times for fighting, and is known for his arrogance.

Katie Ehrlich -- Date of Birth: 30 November, 2006

Description: 5'5", slim, blonde hair, brown eyes, C-cup.

Katie is the class Valedictorian. The Jewish girl takes her studies very seriously. She is known throughout the school by both teachers and students as being very kind and honest.

Stephanie Bernardi -- Date of Birth: 01 February, 2007

Description: 5'9", slim, raven hair, brown eyes, D-cup.

Stephanie is a cheerleader. Everyone knows who she is, but she's really only close to her best friend, Kelsey. The beautiful Italian woman loves being active, but still has a love of computers and technology.

Dan Mitchell -- Date of Birth: 11 September, 2006

Description: 6'2", muscular, blond hair, blue eyes.

Dan is a very attractive guy, and he knows it. As a result, he's convinced himself he's a real ladies' man, and he is, to an extent. He's starting to get a reputation as a guy who won't stick around after he gets what he wants.

Aria Thomson(nee Knox) -- Date of Birth: 31 October, 1984. Date of Death: 13 October, 2014.

Description: 5'6", slim, raven hair, deep blue eyes, C-cup.

Aria and Steven have known each other since they were children. They were high school sweethearts, just like their best friends Allan and Amanda. When Steven started his business, Aria was incredibly supportive, and her encouragements helped him succeed. Like Steven, Aria loves games. In addition, she adores children and couldn't wait to be a mother. Aria is an only child.

Barbara Knox

Description:

Aria's mother. Was devastated when her only child passed away. Barbara dotes on her granddaughter, Kayla, seeing the young woman as all she has left of her only child.

Gerald Knox

Description:

Aria's father. A kind man who is currently enjoying his retirement, despite being forever haunted by the death of his daughter.

Brian Thomson -- Date of Birth: 28 May, 1978

Description: 6'2", average build, brown hair, green eyes.

Brian is as attractive as Steven, but shares none of his success. Steven rarely talks about Brian, who dropped out of college after just two weeks. He is very jealous of Steven, and angry at the lack of help Steven has provided. Brian has run into a lot of trouble, and Steven has lost track of where he's living.

Andrea Brown(nee Thomson) -- Date of Birth: 21 March, 1981

Description: 5'6", slim, long brown hair, green eyes, C-cup.

Andrea moved across the country for college, which is where she met the man who is now her husband. She majored in Chemistry, and is now a college professor. She is very proud of her younger brother, Steven. Just like her brother, she wishes things had turned out different for Brian. She still has hope for a reconciliation.

Mark Brown -- Date of Birth: 27 April, 1981

Description: 6'3", muscular, black hair, brown eyes.

An east coast local, Mark met Andrea in a chemistry class required for his major, Chemical Engineering. He is of Haitian descent, and is very proud of his heritage. He is an amazing father, and very proud of his two children.

Alexander Brown -- Date of Birth: 21 September, 2004

Description: 6'2", muscular, black hair, brown eyes.

Alexander attends the same college as his twin sister, Abigail. The very same college their mother teaches at. He is majoring architecture, with the goal of becoming an architect. Alexander loves computers.

Abigail Brown -- Date of Birth: 21 September, 2004

Description: 5'8", slim, black hair, brown eyes, C-cup.

Abigail was the Valedictorian at her high school. She is currently pursuing a double major in Physics and Mathematics. Her caramel colored skin and beautiful smile draw the admiring glances of every guy on campus.

Hazel's father. Deeply religious father of four. Very stubborn and will never admit he's wrong.

The spitting image of her older sister, Ashley. Unlike Ashley, Melissa is an amazing cook. The younger Bartlett is also really nerdy, and is a member of the Science Club. Ashley loves to tease her younger sister about it, but both girls know it is all in good fun.

Description:

Marcia's father. Loves war movies. Knows his daughter is an adult, but is happier not knowing details about her sex life. He married Courtney on 13 June.

Marcia's mother. Had a rough college life, and doesn't want to see Marcia make the same mistakes. Loves her daughter, and just wants a close relationship with her. She married Seth on 13 June.
