Chapter 1

The woman said something in Chinese to Alex as she pulled the strings tight at the back of Alex's dress. "Babe! Come translate!" Alex yelled through the changing room's curtain with her last breath, right before she was strapped all the way in.

"Sorry" Chaoxiang slipped through the slit in the curtain. "I was talking to Wenyen about your schedule tomorrow."

Chaoxiang was a handsome man. He was 26 years old and every bit of him looked strong and manly. He was broad shouldered and just under 6 feet tall. He had larger eyes than the average Chinese man and a strong jawline. Thanks to his high school and college athletics career and his rigorous lifting regimen after college, he was also very well built. Alex's knees went weak every time she saw him dressed up (as well as undressed for that matter). But not this time. Because he kept abandoning her at this stupid dress fitting for his stupid brother's wedding and she couldn't speak stupid Chinese.

"Will you ask her what she said? And tell her I can't breathe." Alex whined while the woman tied the dress off. Chaoxiang translated and Alex watched as they went back and forth, not having a clue what they were saying. They had been together for just over 3 years and she still hadn't learned Mandarin. Not for the lack of trying, but just a pure lack of talent and aptitude.

"Uh... she said she has to pull it tight so you look, uh, smaller," he said carefully.

Alex spun around. "Did she call me fat? For fuck's sake I'm not fat just because I have an ass!" She knew that's what the lady was thinking since she had clicked her tongue at Alex when she wasn't able to step into any of the dresses and pull them up (they all got stuck at her thighs or butt) and instead had to go over her head and be pulled down (and some still got stuck at her chest).

"She didn't say 'fat'!" He assured, throwing his hands up with his palms out. "She said big," he ignored Alex's snarling and pressed on. "You know how petite girls are here. And the other bridesmaids are really small too, just like Wenyen. Babe, you're not fat. You are beautiful and curvy and sexy. Southern China just isn't used to that."

Alex turned to look in the mirror at herself. She wasn't fat, at least not in the United States. But she would admit that she was bigger than the average girl in the South here. She had a flat stomach and muscular thighs, a large and perky behind that stuck out thanks to playing volleyball and running track in high school, and a full 34 D cup chest. Her body blossomed when she hit 18, and now at 24 years old she had a body that most women could only dream of. She went to the gym with Chaoxiang for 2 hours a day, five days a week to make sure of it. She was incredibly happy with herself, she had worked hard for it. But being 5'8" and curvy in China had her rethinking it.

At least no matter the country she was in she was always happy with her face. She had light green almond shaped eyes, long lashes, full lips, and a cute little nose. With long honey brown hair, she really stood out in China. It wasn't hard to miss most lao wai but Alex, in particular, stuck out.

"Okay," Alex said. "This is fine I guess. But I'm losing this dress as soon as the wedding is over!"

Chaoxiang chuckled and wrapped his arms around her. She turned and kissed his cheek. "good couple, very cute" the woman said in a thick accent while giving a thumbs up before motioning for Alex to take the bridesmaid dress off.

Later in the car Chaoxiang gave Alex a rundown of the schedule in the back seat. "So tonight we are all going to KTV. It's gonna be basically Chan's bachelor party but Wenyen is going to be there too with her friends. So we're combining the bachelor and bachelorette party, pretty much."

"And don't worry," Chanming said from the driver's seat. "A lot of my friends who are coming I met at UC, so plenty of them will speak English!"

"Oh really? Who all is coming?" Chaoxiang asked. Chaoxiang and Chanming grew up in the United States together and were as inseparable as brothers could possibly get. They even went to the same university together, University of Colorado in Boulder.

The Groom smirked and began listing off his friends. "Max, John, James, Donghai, Fangxin, Winston, Deshi-"

"Deshi? THE Deshi?" Chaoxiang interrupted, erupting into laughter. "Oh my god, this is going to be one hell of a party!" Chanming laughed as well, agreeing with his little brother.

Alex tipped her head at Chaoxiang questioningly as she pulled a bottle of water from her the pouch on the back of his seat.

"Oh, you'll see. The guy is legendary." Chaoxiang exclaimed.

"Yeah, his name literally means 'man of virtue' but this guy is anything but." Chanming laughed. "He's a rich pretty boy who is known for being an insane partier!"

Chaoxiang leaned back and sighed. "But my god can he pull girls. He's the textbook definition of a playboy. What was his count at in college? Like 150?" He asked Chanming. Alex choked in the middle of her drink, sputtering water on herself.

"He's slept with 150 girls? Oh my god!" She managed to cough out.

Chanming smirked again. "Probably way more than that now. The kid is pretty good looking and not to mention he's our wealthiest friend. You thought our family had money, this guy puts our parents' fortune to shame!" Alex couldn't even imagine. She already couldn't wrap her head around Chaoxiang's parents' money (mostly because Alex and Chaoxiang never see any of it since they live in the US) so she definitely couldn't comprehend this Deshi guy.

She only half listened as her boyfriend explained the schedule for the next day. Traditions, pictures, wedding ceremony, reception, bar. She had the gist of it.

"You ready?" Chaoxiang yelled through the bathroom door. Alex and Chaoxiang were back at Chanming's place getting ready for KTV, karaoke in private rooms with dressed up girls who are paid to drink and party with you. Chanming's place was nice. His parents bought him a few apartments and one house in China, all expensive. It was one of their ways of trying to get Chaoxiang to move to China. They let Chanming live a luxurious life in here, but wouldn't fund the same for Chaoxiang in America. If he wanted a slice of the pie he had to move to them.

Alex and Chaoxiang didn't care though. He had started a company shortly after they started dating and she worked for it. It wasn't even three years old yet but was growing incredibly fast. They didn't live luxuriously, but they definitely lived well.

"Ready." Alex checked her makeup in the mirror one last time. A dark smokey eye look to really make her green eyes pop. Her brown hair was in waves. She was wearing a black sleeveless shirt covered in silver studs, it's neckline just low enough to show the curve of her breasts but not low enough to show cleavage. The shirt was tight at the bottom to show her trim waist and flat stomach (she'd be damned if anyone else thought she was fat) and looser at the top to allow room for her bust. Dark-wash skinny jeans that hugged her hips and ass with silver zippers on the pockets. Finished with black heeled boots with green and sliver studs. She wasn't one to brag but she looked damn sexy tonight. She opened the door.

"Shit," Chaoxiang breathed. She smiled and kissed him. "I fucking love you."

She smirked. "I love fucking you." He chuckled and kissed her again before Chanming called for them. They both left the private bathroom that was in their room, walking into the marbled hallway to head to the front door.

"WOW" Wenyen exclaimed. "American girls sure are different!" she had been learning English for the last two years but still had an adorably thick accent.

"Xiexie" Alex giggled, in her equally thick but much less adorable accent. Her Chinese was extremely limited and very terrible. They all walked into the entryway, locking the door behind them. While in the private elevator to head down to the lobby Chaoxiang asked his brother what the plans were for the friends who came from out of town.

"Well we have an extra room besides yours, so I figured two people could stay there, we can fit three people on couches, and then we got six hotel rooms too for everyone else." Chanming answered.

"Who is staying at your place?" Chaoxiang asked. Chanming just shrugged. He wasn't the best planner. As could be told by the last-minute bridesmaid dresses. Alex just shook her head and laughed. Typical Chan.

The KTV room was packed when they got there. All of Chanming's and Wenyen's friends were there and they had already chosen around ten KTV girls to party with. Shots were lined up on the tables, two guys were enthusiastically singing a song, and two large groups of people were huddled around coffee tables playing dice games.

"YO WHAT UP?" Chanming called as he strutted into the room, chest puffed out. A chorus of 'heys!' and cheers met them.

A tall broad guy walked up to them and started saying stuff in Chinese. Chanming laughed and shrugged while Chaoxiang blushed. "What?" Alex asked. She hated not being able to understand Chinese.

"Oh," the guy said. "I'm Winston, nice to meet you." He shook her hand and held it, patting it with his other one. "I was just saying I hadn't seen little Xiang in so long, but he's grown up to be really handsome. Big Chan really got the short end of the stick!" He laughed heartily and Alex awkwardly laughed too. "But with Xiang being such a looker, it's no wonder he landed such a babe!" he then leaned down and kissed her hand while smirking up at her. Alex blushed and pulled her hand back.

"Okay okay, that's enough. Go hit on a KTV girl will ya?" Chaoxiang laughed and pushed him away while wrapping an arm around Alex. Winston laughed and sauntered off, throwing a wink over his shoulder at them. He seemed like a fun guy, she just was always awkward at handling teasing like that. "Should I Introduce you to everyone?" Chaoxiang asked. She smiled and nodded back to him.

Chaoxiang led her around the room and introduced her to groups of people at a time. He took care to point out who could speak English. They were both complimented on their looks multiple times. Alex had come to learn during her first few visits to China that Chinese people are very blunt and honest. If they think something, they will say it, and it's completely normal. Whether what they're saying is good or bad. And none of it is rude either. Even when they tell the groom that his little brother is better looking. They just value honesty.

Halfway through introductions Alex began to feel like she was being watched. The hairs on her arms stood on end, and the back of her neck tingled. She tried to discreetly look around but she didn't notice anything other than the occasional glance her way, something she had gotten used to as a foreigner in a homogenous country.

They turned to greet another small cluster of people. Alex shook a man's hand and then glanced around again, unable to shake off the feeling of an intense gaze. That was when she saw him. A tall man leaning back against the far wall, a neat glass of scotch held up to his lips. They locked eyes and he smirked. This was unlike the other glances that were tossed her way casually. They would look away immediately if she looked towards them, and it was more of a curious look and not such a penetrating stare. She felt the tingles rise, like her skin was vibrating. These were the intense eyes she had been feeling for the last ten minutes.

He was extremely handsome. In a different way than Chaoxiang. This man had delicate, narrow eyes and pouty, full lips, a thinner face and a sharp jawline. He was almost pretty in a way, even beautiful. But there was something in his eyes and the way his mouth slanted in a smirk, something that made his beautiful face feel dangerous. He was broad and looked strong. Not built the way that her boyfriend was but lean and hard. More of a swimmer's body. His white dress shirt was pulled tight across his wide chest and tucked into his dress pants at his narrow waist. As stereotypical as it sounded, he reminded her of a pretty boy anime character. Slim waist, broad shoulders, shaggy yet styled black hair, and almost cat like eyes. Two KTV girls were clinging to either side of him but he was ignoring them. Just staring at Alex.

"Babe?" Chaoxiang asked, causing the tingles that were dancing along her arms to vanish. She snapped her head around to look at him.

"Yeah?" she asked, confused and a little flustered by what had just happened.

"Do you want a drink?" he motioned towards Max who had a shot held out to her. She smiled, taking it from him, and then tipped her head back to shoot it immediately.

"Wow," Max said, "I want her on my team when we play dice" he laughed.

"You're gonna get fucked up tonight" Chaoxiang laughed and rubbed her arm, then kissed her on top of the head. All the while she could feel that stare.

Finally, they made their way over to a couch in the last corner of the room. Alex was introduced to three people but she couldn't focus enough to even register their names. All she could think about was that that man was now sitting in this group, and she would be meeting him next. The tingles were back, racing up her spine. He was leaned back casually, one leg crossed over the other with a low coffee table separating him from her. He nonchalantly sipped his drink, waiting for his turn.

Chaoxiang motioned towards him. "And this, this is the infamous Deshi," he laughed and Deshi smiled slyly, the corners of his eyes crinkling.

"Nice to meet you, Alex." He lifted his hand to shake hers, but didn't bother to stand or even lean forward. That was odd, considering everyone else had made an effort to come towards her and meet her halfway during their greetings. She ended up having to lean forward and bend at the waist to shake his hand because of the coffee table between them. As soon as their hands met he gripped hers firmly and tugged her down a little. She felt cool, breezy. And she felt her chest jiggle from the force of the tug. She gave him a confused look and noticed for the first time his eyes weren't on hers, boring into her with that intense gaze. No, now, now they were on her shirt? And his smirk grew? Why? She looked down at herself and felt her face immediately go hot. The studs on the front of her top weighed it down and made her shirt dip toward the floor, pulling away from her since she was bent over. He could see right into it, her cleavage and bra- a very sexy lace bra she had gotten as a surprise for Chaoxiang the first time he had come home from a trip to China she wasn't able to go on. He tugged again, a little less forcefully and she watched as her the tops of her breasts jiggled slightly. Her eyes widened.

She tried to pull back and straighten up but he held her firm. She looked to her side to see if Chaoxiang saw what was happening, but he was chatting with the other three enthusiastically about plans for the next night. She looked back toward Deshi. He was smiling, but he looked positively evil. He set his drink down and used his free hand to lightly grab her elbow. He pulled her forward more, she stumbled a little and had to catch herself with her free arm by placing her hand on the coffee table.

"I'm looking forward to seeing more of you." His voice was husky and his eyes dragged lazily from her exposed cleavage, up her neck, and to meet her bewildered gaze. Her breath froze in her lungs as he brought her hand to his lips to kiss it. It was different from when Winston had. His lips were slightly open, and his tongue peaked out to give her a small lick. The tingles exploded over her skin. All her hair felt like it was standing straight up. Shock waves skimmed over her from her hand all the way to her toes. She felt her fight or flight instincts kick in. It told her to run. That she was in danger. This was bad.

Instead, she swallowed her shock and narrowed her eyes at him, giving him an empty laugh. "Sorry, I can't say the same." Then she firmly ripped her hand from his and stood up, straightened her shirt and downed the glass of scotch Chaoxiang had just turned around to offer her. She glanced back at Deshi, one last glare to drive her point home. He had an eyebrow raised but his smirk was still firmly in place. He looked mischievous, and something else? Intrigued? She thought by standing her ground and being firm with him that he'd back off. But that look on his face gave her a sinking feeling in her gut that told otherwise.

Chaoxiang led her to another corner, where most of the English speakers were gathered, except for Deshi. They began to play a dice game. It was kind of like the card game 'Bullshit'. You shake five dice in a cup, slam the cup mouth down on the table, then tip the cup to peek at your dice without anyone else seeing. Depending on what you have, you call out how many dice you have of a number. The next person would have to call something higher, so either the same amount of a higher number or more of the same number. They decide what to call based on what you called, if they think you're lying, and how likely they think it is that the others might have more of the same number. This repeats until someone calls a bluff. If they call the bluff on you and you're wrong, you have to take a shot, but if you were right then they would have to take a shot. Alex wasn't good at lying, so she was quickly on her way towards being drunk.

After a few rounds of the game and many, many shots everyone started asking each other questions, everyone needing a break from drinking. Alex was sitting on a stool next to the end seat of the couch. She was propped on her elbow leaning onto the cushion as she watched one of the guys answer a question about how big his dick was. With only her and one KTV girl who could speak English and five guys, the questions had quickly become perverted. Alex was in the middle of giggling when she noticed Donghai look up and past her. "You wanna sit? Alex, sit up, let him through." She obediently sat up and looked over her shoulder right at a crotch. She glanced up. Deshi was standing behind her, looking at Donghai.

"Thanks man," he said as he squeezed between Alex and the couch, he stumbled and put his hand on her closest shoulder to steady himself, his fingers dipping under her shirt's strap. He finally sat down. He was taller than Chaoxiang, maybe around 6'1 or 6'2 so his long legs were pressed up against Alex's. she tried to scoot her stool over but Chaoxiang was in a chair right beside her. She had nowhere to go.

"So, Chaoxiang!" the guy who had just answered about his dick called, "how big is your dick?"

"James, that's a little gay," Chanming laughed. The KTV girl, Lindy, was the one who had asked James, so apparently that made it acceptable.

"Then how about I ask all of the guys? Then it's not gay, right?" She asked while cocking her head at Chanming. Alex liked her. She was fun and outgoing, and really cute. And she could hold her own with the guys. A strong personality in the best of ways.

"Fine, fine." Chanming patted his chest. "I'm 16 centimeters." The whole group cheered. Everyone was so drunk. Alex tried to hide her giggles behind her hand. Hell, she was drunk too.

"Sorry big bro, I'm 18 centimeters." Chaoxiang laughed.

"No way!" James whined. "Really Alex? Is he?"

"Sorry," Alex giggled, her buzz making her goofy. "He is. He's thick too." She fanned herself pretending to be hot and bothered. The group laughed and Chanming clapped Chaoxiang on the back. He had such a brother complex, it was adorable.

Normally, Alex wouldn't talk about these things so openly. Her and Chaoxiang had a very active sex life, but she always preferred to keep it private. Until she was drunk, that is.
