Click hereThe man's body was flung back as the heavy spear tore through his head, his sword clattering to the ground atop Sam's own. His arms finished sealing and he released his power as he turned to the direction the spear flew from. A blood flecked Theodore nodded to him from 20 yards away, then quickly turned to a new target, holding his lance under his left armpit.
"Holy shit..." Sam muttered as he reclaimed his sword.
He turned and scanned the area. 4 of the red guards remained, including Theodore, and about 10 of the green clad attackers, most unmounted. He didn't see any servants left standing. Sam closed his eyes slowly, and hardened his resolve. 'Help whoever needs it most.' He thought, and snapped his eyes open once again, feeling a new determination.

DistortedSenseabout 9 years agoAuthorI plan on trying to have chapters coming out at least once per month, but it will probably vary. Chapter 3 will have a much smaller gap than between Ch. 1 and 2. Also, I post fairly frequent progress updates on my bio, so you can always check there if you are curious.

I love a story that has plot first and romance second. This plot is still in the early stages of unfolding and I am looking forward to seeing it to completion.
Do you anticipate chapters to take around the same time as the last one or was that fast/slow?

DistortedSenseabout 9 years agoAuthorI originally considered having him attempt to heal her, but I decided against it, mainly because I thought Sam would be too shocked to do anything. In regards to the other things you mentioned, I have some plans for them in the future, but I don't see them happening for another few chapters at least. And no, the sword from the tent is not the same.

superfeluously_eabout 9 years agoI can't see any room for constructive criticism at the moment. The story is well written and highly imaginative, no criticism here, It's too early for me to offer any.
Thought that being said, I almost saw Sam using his healing powers to heal the witch that tried to kill him when he saw her sister holding her body. While he lack the training, coupled with his raw power and his caring nature, I thought he might at least try.
So what happened to the ring his father gave him? Does he have it on his finger? Is it in his blue jeans, wherever they are?
Also what's the significance with how Sam found the sword from the original battle? Thought you were hinting at something here. Was the same sword he got in the tent the one from the original Samson? If so, wouldn't his sister be offended still?
I'm betting the answers to most of my questions are already in the works to be explained in later chapters :)
