"Bunny this is..."

"I know, P.P. She held us a lot, she is nice."

"Us," P asked?

I brought Fluffy Bunny in. "They were, are, one and the same," I said.

"Oh my god! I knew it!!" P shouted again and hugged Bunny. "Girl, welcome to our family!!"

"There's something else P," I said.

"OK what?"

"Show her Bunny."

She looked at me nervously. "It's OK baby, P will understand."

Slowly Bunny raised her ears off the back of her head.

P grabbed her mouth again. "Oh my god that is just the most adorable thing ever," and she hugged Bunny again.

I've read this story several times in the last couple of years and never had a moment when it didn't speak to me. It's a love story with a little magic. It's a magic story with romance. It's a veteran's story. It's a story of working through a bit of ptsd (as much as that can be told here).

It's all of those in one well told tale.

Hooah, brother Jonny, carry on.
