It took a few minutes to blow out the candles and get the berth looking like we'd never used it, although I'm sure Carl knew of the rendezvous I'd planned. But if I left no sign we'd been here, he would be more likely to let me take the boat out again. So it was dusk by the time we found ourselves on deck, the sun setting behind us in a ball of orange as the lights on shore began to twinkle on.
"You're right, Shane," Jesse said, his head lying on my shoulder. "This is nice, a perfect view."
I gazed over at him. "My view is better." He understood what I meant and blushed.
"Tonight was really special for me." He took my hand. "I'm glad it was you I was with... that I waited. Thanks, you know?"
My voice got husky as I fought back tears, so overwhelmed by his sincerity. "You're welcome. It was special because of what you mean to me. And me to you. Because we're going to be together always."
He kissed me and switched back into his earlier Down Under accent. "You got that right, mate."

CuriousPeteover 7 years agoDon't know why I hadn't found this earlier but better late than never. The characters are wonderful and the sex on the boat was very hot. Fearful about the stalker though. Hope he doesn't ruin a good romance.

BlueOleanderover 11 years agoI am really enjoying this story. I was afraid after you pulled your other stories off Lit you would not post any more here and I would miss your work. I must admit, first time stories are my guilty pleasure! This one ranks up there in my top 10 list!

canndover 11 years agoIt was a very sweet chapter. Shane really did a nice job planning their anniv. and the night for Jesse. Part of me knows that not many h.s. relationships last, but they really do seem to compliment each other well. The only thing that bothered me is why would you ever ignore a latter that is threatening to make you bleed? That just seems monumentally stupid to not decide to be better safe than sorry. But, I guess if they did get help, it would make it less dramatic when the bad happened. Look forward to more. Thanks for the quick posts.
