"At least he can swim," Rolf added.

No one saw Clyde dashing up the companionway nor streaking off the aft rail and diving into the sea, but one of the small males did...

Still a story I enjoy, despite the flight into pure fantasy and sci fi. The touches of nihlism and virtue signaling is getting old, but is to be expected by a liberal author. He is really indulging himself in this tome though, much more than other stories of his I have read. All subtly is gone, it's a straightforward "humans are bad, inferior, evil, except for those select aware few who know what is best for us all", which is the same line as WEF, Bill Gates, and the liberal left have parroted for years. I mean what was the purpose of telling us about how they cleaned up Anton's marine fuel soaked body in an environmentally acceptable way, during world war and simultaneous Classs %? hurricane-just ridiculous.

I enjoyed the story mostly all the way but found it a little hard to follow when we go into pinky, hinky, dinky and winky? I really wasn't ready for some sci-fi extra terrestrials at that point, although I am a big sci fi fan with authors like Heinlein and others. Still a good story and with the added thought there was maybe just one mind and that controlled everything?

Russia and oil? A given. But asset denial plays a role here, too. Fuel NATO might need if memory serves.

Tanks? How many can an An-24 carry to secure an airport? How many can be slipped in on a roll-on/roll-off transport ship under cover of night to take a port area? This is all ancient Soviet doctrine from Gorshkov, BTW.

Bailing on this story. If there is one thing Russia has, it is oil. Why sacrifice all those units trying to get more. Russians do not have ability to sortie to Amsterdam in any big numbers. They do not have the air 2 air refueling capabilities.

One question: how did Russians get tanks to holland?
