We turn to him, smiling. He reaches across to stroke my chin and pets Sandra's hair. Like we were his pets. Did he want a pet? I could be his pet. "I'm glad you decided to join us," he said. "Now I'm going to ask you something and I want you to know that it's not an order. I was thinking it would be easier for everyone if I moved in here. That way, I could give you orders whenever you wanted. Would you like that?"

Sandra is nodding breathlessly. I last a half-second before I do the same. I look at the clock behind him. It is six-thirty-five. In the last five minutes I have submitted to a man, pleasured my oldest friend under his orders and now I have signed my ability to choose my destiny for good.

I couldn't be happier.
