Some things do have a consequence, taking a man's wife away from him can be a dangerous thing to do.

I did that, so I guess I am guilty as charged.

Alice and I are in love, mostly happy. But we look closely at every strange vehicle, sometimes we lie awake at night, listening.

We both know why but we don't talk about it much, not really.

Maybe it will always be hanging over our heads.

All the legal stuff is nonsense, but this is an interesting story. 5

I find Charles is the worst of these people.

He was a controlling asshole who tried to dominate his wife and treat her as a chattel or is that cattle.

Alice went looking for love not dominance and she found it. Was she cheating YES but why wouldn't she. Everyone craves kindness not dominance.

I also would like a second chapter where Charles tracked them down and while armed broke into their home. Have Alice put four rounds centre mass as Charles threatened her husband. And while he is dieing have Alice explain to him that orders and dominance do not make for a good marriage.

Regardless of your views about the rightness (actually, the wrongness) of the characters, it is an attention-getting, attention-holding story. And that is what I read Literotica for -- entertainment.

Also told in a straightforward manner, with enough background (eg. the beach scene) to properly set the stage, without the too-much that becomes tedious which is characteristic of too many Literotica stories.

Gotta say...

...pulling for Charles here. Would be cool to read a part two where Charles tracks them down. Enjoyed the story. 5 stars. Thanx!

I found it somewhat humorous.

My opinions have already been expressed by 5 commenters in a row; cueball961, BTTap, the next two anonymous comments, and Sydney43 and then later corroborated by digdaddyrich and Salamis.

Energysaver says 50 wives were allowed in the Old Testament. But the Bible in Deuteronomy 17:17 instructs even kings (who would be most able to support multiple wives), "He shall not multiply wives for himself." However, then, as now, people ignored laws. King Solomon was notorious for his "one thousand wives" (700 wives and 300 concubines, I Kings 11:3). This was not a working harem, but a status stunt.

Lickideesplit says in the Old Testament adultery was punished by death for the woman but not the main. But Deuteronomy 22:22 says "If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die." However, the following verses give an exception for rape, but this leniency is allowed (in contrast to Lickideesplit) only for the woman. (Google Deuteronomy 22:22--27 for the entire text.) It must be remembered that this was "the law of the land," such as we get from Washington DC, not provision for personal getting even -- that is, you did not execute the penalty, but the court did. So Charles got no help from this law, except under Old Testament law, he could have appealed to the justice system to inflict the death penalty.

The blood thirstiness of the morality of some of the commenters is reminiscent of Muslim cruelty. Charles with his domination and disrespect of his wife along with murder (attempted, only because he failed) is more tolerable than Alice and her lover's adultery. While guilty, at least they were not trying to do in Charles. Alice just wondered what proper, satisfying loving was like, and then would not go back to her husband's inconsiderate way (who knows, maybe she did try to talk to him about it -- but from the way it sounds, that would not be something Charles would take to). Her lover felt bad about what he was doing to Charles, just not bad enough to resist a hot, willing woman. From that standpoint, the story gives insight to the mentality of cheaters -- at least, these cheaters, who are not consciously malicious, but just selfishly (and conflictedly) horny.

Cheaters don't change

Someday, one of the two of them will be in Charlie's shoes, standing at the door.

New take

Different take on the cheating wife story. I hope Charley gets a .357 Mag with a 6 inch barrel, and some target practice before he finds them. He has nothing else to live for except revenge. If this was real, then I would 100% pull for Charley.

Well....

A story where you have no sympathy at all for the main character. The cops were right.
