APPLEGATE: A new album and a new single. We do everything in our power to keep you fresh in the eyes of the fans. I have a time set up for you to meet with Gordy later this afternoon to discuss a new album, and we can discuss promotions and public appearances later.
TAELI: So, what do you need us to do?
APPLEGATE: Put together all the music you haven't recorded yet, even things you've only started or that still need work. Get it all ready for the meeting with Gordy, and be ready to get back in the studio tomorrow.
CHRIS: That's it?
APPLEGATE: That's it.
CHRIS: (Turns and starts to exit) That's what I got out of bed for. With a fuckin' hangover. Great. Just fuckin' great . . . (his bitching and moaning trails off as he exits)
(TAELI, RICHIE and ASH get up to exit.)
APPLEGATE: Richie, I still need to speak with you alone.
RICHIE: Okay. I'll just be a moment.
(RICHIE takes TAELI aside as ASH exits.)
RICHIE: (quieter, to TAELI) Hey, I have some lyrics and a piano part that might work for your song. You mind if I stop by later and we go over them then?
TAELI: Sure, sounds great.
RICHIE: Cool. I'll meet up with you guys at Gordy's then
