Click hereJonathan bit his lips hard to stifle a laugh. There was no way all that could be true. It had to be a miracle that Maddox was still alive. The guy needed another dog pronto just to make sure he didn't stumble over his own feet and fell to his death. He loved Ray, but the amazingly gullible nature of his roommate was something else.
"Um," he cleared his throat, "but she lived a long and happy life. Twenty years is quite impressive for a dog."
"She died at twelve," Ray replied and started crying again as if he just now realized how tragic it was for a dog to die after twelve years of life when she was supposed to have lived twenty.
All right, so he was calling bullshit on that little piece in Xpress. That publication needed to be eradicated like the virus that it was. It was infecting totally sane persons, like Ray. Now, he would allow his roommate some space, but later, he would explain to him some basic math. It would be painful, but it was worth it.

🤣 LMFAO! That was too funny. Love these characters. So far another great story. Thanks!
We live in a depressing world, so it was so nice to read this chapter. I was laughing at Ray's reaction to the death of Maddox' poor dog. As to JJ & M's interactions also very funny. Thanks L for a very entertaining chapter.
Fantastic, I am ad dicted to it. But I have one request, you must not end it, even when they become a couple, there are so many ways to keep it going.
Aside from the real dog to human years, I enjoyed this chapter for Jonathan and Maddox’s exchange, their inner thoughts getting the worse of them and the side characters, Ray and Connor. I’m glad this isn’t a complex love triangle story.
As a long time fan of your writing...I have read and in some cases re-read everything you have posted...I am really enjoying this one and I actually like the slow burn because it gives me a chance to know more about the characters before they hit the sheets...so thank you for your stories
