Click hereOf course Harry and I got married eventually. No, we didn't rush into it; we had a very low-key affair in of all places Bermuda. Well, it was something a little different. We had local witnesses and didn't tell anyone what we were planning. It was surprising how long Harry had the extra ring on before anyone noticed.
As the years went on Thelma's mental health suffered. It wasn't helped by the succession of dead beats she got herself hooked up with. When Tracy got married to her stepbrother Russell, Thelma was just about compos mentis enough to attend the wedding and play the proud mother. She looked better than she had for years and her very proud father escorted her.
Unfortunately her father passed away a few months later and shortly after that Thelma was sectioned, by her brother. She now spends a lot of her time in and out of a private clinic. Which I might add, her brother and I are finding quite expensive. But I feel I have a duty of care for my children's mother.
Harry and I are extremely happy together. Now that all the children have grown and gone, we spend most of the year at our cottage near Weymouth. We enjoy walking the paths we walked as children, sometimes with our grandchildren in tow.
Life goes on.
I liked it! To me it seemed completely realistic, having been born-and-bred in the heart of the English Midlands.
In what was probably about the most landlocked spot in the whole of England where the closest coastline was over a hundred miles (160km) away! My poor but lovely, maternal grandparents owned an old, well-loved caravan on "Happy Days" site at Skegness, I spent a lot of time with them, very often accompanying them on opening, closing, and maintenance visits as well as short breaks, from a very early age. They were exciting, and truly liberating adventures for me, with time to run around, exploring sand dunes and amusement arcades etc, and I am quite sure my parents were happy to be relieved of their middle child for a break too!
Very good and nice story. It proves that no sex descriptions are needed if you have a good plot. I think the part on "Frank" putting so much effort seems to be a bit overblown but then again I am not police detective to know how would a creep like that really behave.
5 stars.
I think some of my comments have got rejected. I know I commented on this story. You get mostly 5* from me Once in awhile I toss in a 4. haha
Good read.

I believe that would have to be your best work to date.
I suppose I should reserve my judgement, though, as I've still got a few to plow through.

One of the really good authors in LW. As with all his work,This one is outstanding.
This was an interesting and sweet story that I enjoyed very much. Thank you.
When I was in elementary school, one of my teachers had us write pen pal letters to children in other countries. I was getting to enjoy writing to a young boy in Cornwall, UK. I have wished that we had continued our correspondence and maybe got to meet each other as we got older. This was a great story. Thank you for writing it.
I wouldn't say it was predictable, but I had hopped it would go there. it would make a good movie though.
especially with the title, but VERY well written. Glad the way TW wrote Thelma in the end. Don't know why our hero felt obliged to help pay for Thelma's care.
Which also made her a great mark - the best con job victims are those with some larceny in their hearts, or those willing to charm to get what they want - they can be charmed etc,
She was willing to be willful and it cost her - she was also a victim of true mental illness it appears and paid dearly for it.
He was a good guy failed to see the behavior in her - also typical - very real people with very real flaws - well done - thanks - as always -
The pathetic nature of Thelma detracted from this story. As a character, the author might have considered just a plain ordinary cheater. The introduction of a child molester blew the story into uncomfortable waters at least for me it did. It is interesting and educational but nevertheless very upsetting. The reunion with Harry was magnificent and it was the best element of the story ending. I still have great reservations about poor Thelma. I can't get my head around a gregarious person who blatantly pursued her husband would be so susceptible to manipulation as the story purported. Of course there are definite plausibility issues concerning this matter but otherwise the story was fantastic.
However, I didn't like it a lot because it didn't leave me with a feel good feeling and a number of things didn't appear to be logical or at least too improbable.
where to look. When Thelma made a play for him at the Christmas party he saw a guy slide right in and get her as he left. There was no excuse to go back to known trouble. Other than the major problems mentioned it was good.
Have seen your older writings long ago. Enjoyed them then and enjoy most of your more recent work. I especially enjoy reading a story where with complicated interpersonal twists are worked through and resolved happily. I'm not one to enjoy being depressed by reading a story. There's enough of that in Literotica with the cruelty and misery in writing. When you give your characters at least reasonable intelligence you give your tale some believability. Fantasy is not the stuff of Loving Wives category. I guess I relate to many of the cheating and deception tales from problems with my first marriage - on both sides, I might add. Have learned much since then and am better married now.
Your use of British slang takes lots of looking up in an online British dictionary. Drives me batty. Your editors are skipping over a number of misspellings and construction issues, but your stories flow better than most here. Keep up the good writing if you're (notice the correct spelling? thankfully you do it too) still active.
It is so easy for a nubile young lady to snare an unsuspecting young man. Thelma seems to me to be a perfect example of late-appearing bi-polarity. My daughter-in-law is one of these women and has gone from a delightful young woman to a monumentally stupid harridan. Unlike your hero, my son realized early what was happening and refused to allow any births in his marriage. Wanderer has nailed a problem that I have seen in almost a score of marriages and should be praised for the effort put forth. I like the story and the conclusion. Keep writing.
