Gerard didn't change his mind. "Sorry. I still have a lot to do tonight. But I'll see you later."
Shane was destined to please him in any way possible. "How about this? You can come over this weekend for dinner. I'll make it for you. I'll make steak and potatoes. How about it?"
Gerard sounded impressed. "That sounds nice."
"Hell, come over for the rest of the weekend. I'll be here. I'll take care of things. Give you a nice massage, and we could watch a ballgame together. It'll be a fun little thing we do. Just the two of us."
"Well, it's enticing."
Shane smiled. "I just want you to be happy."
Gerard kissed him. "You talked me into it. I'll come back this Friday, and we'll see what we'll do from there."
"It's a deal."
With one last kiss to end the day, Gerard walked out the door. Shane closed it and leapt right onto the sofa. The young man lay on his back and reminisced the interaction that transpired in his own home. Gloria was already a fleeting memory. This time, his shifted his attention toward her ex-husband. He couldn't wait to see Gerard again. He decided to be the best lover he could ever be. This would be his new objective. To become the one who gave Gerard everything that his ex-wife couldn't. This would be a special connection between the two of them. He just knew it.

The only thing that could have made this any better, Gloria stopping by and finding Shane and Gerard in bed. That would have added a touch of comic irony to this great ***** plus story.
