The rest of the day was an anti-climax. I thanked the garrison and the women. The women's role was omitted from the official history but the legend of the Journy women spread and was amplified until it seems they repelled the French by themselves wielding broomsticks.
That night Viscountess Jeanne ode me until I was exhausted. I woke up tied in the bed as a reminder that although I was promoted, Jeanne still owned me as her captive Englishman.

I hadn’t heard that you’ve had health challenges, but I want you to know that I’ve always enjoyed your stories a lot. I’m glad that you wrote this one to complete part one. That one reminded me of the writing of Bernard Cornwell. I enjoyed it then, and I re-read it now, enjoying it again. 5*, of course.
