Nirosualmost 2 years agoThe Clara thing is super random and out of left field, like you didn't know what to do with the character so just kind of went "fuck it foursome". There was no build up to this change in Clara's character. While Jessy has had a lot of build up into wanting Eric for herself. So the scene of Eric+Jessy was good and grounded in plot, the Clara bit was grounded in "lol we have to have something not vanilla in this chapter".
Also I kind of find it odd for the super focus on monogamy style relationships, for a vampire culture I'd think that mono would be a rarity compared to poly especially when you add in the highly sexual nature and like the way in which trust is handled. Hell a medium-small covenant that was 1 entire poly group wouldn't be surprising within the setting.
