New Beginnings

"I don't know." He paused. "But, it just seems right. Maybe it always has..." he trailed off as if he was going to say something else.

"Right. You'd think we would have tried this a long time ago." I laughed to lighten the mood.

He smiled, "You would have never dated a dork like me, and I thought you were going to turn out a lesbian for the longest time." He cackled.

"I mean, I am bi, but still." I furrowed my brow, "Did you really think about me that way? The dating I mean."

"I mean yeah, at different points in my life. After we both hit about 15 it was really hard not to say anything to you." He confessed.

Honestly, I was surprised. He hid it very well. Through all of our relationship drama in middle school and high school, we were always by each other's side giving advice.

We stared at each other for another long while. I finally leaned in for a kiss. I couldn't wait any longer. I didn't know where were going to go from here, but no matter what I knew it would be okay because it would always be us. Eli and Alice, Alice and Eli.
