This ultimately led to a confrontation between Grodd and King Shark, with King Shark overpowering the evil human-gorilla hybrid and reclaiming the crown.

Time stone: When Damien Darhk recruited Grodd into Mallus's service, he gave Grodd a time stone to use to wreak havoc throughout the timeline, thereby weakening Mallus's temporal prison. After Grodd was captured by the Time Bureau and sent back to A.R.G.U.S., the stone was presumably confiscated.

After she had Doctor Strange make her existence forgotten, Holly chose to ditch the Heart technology of her previous suits for a simpler and more homegrown approach, symbolic of her rebirth as an independent Grodd. The new gorilla emblem is also inspired by the other Hollys' suits.

"I summon the Reborn Zombie in Defence Mode." The card activated and a decaying zombie monster appeared on the battlefield. It was a LVL 4 DARK Attribute zombie effect monster with 1000 ATK points and 1600 DEF points. Its special effect was while you have no cards in your hand and this card is in Attack Position, it cannot be destroyed by battle. "And I'll play this card face down." Another card appeared on the battlefield behind the monster, face down.

Blake was not concerned. She drew a card from her deck. She drew 'Elemental HERO Avian'. Blake's hand contained 'Elemental HERO Burstinatrix', 'Elemental HERO Clayman', 'Elemental HERO Sparkman', 'Polymerization' and 'Winged Kuriboh'. "I don't think you are prepared for this," she said. She activated the card Polymerization. It was a normal Spell card. It would fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material. She showed 'Elemental Hero Avian' and 'Elemental HERO Burstinatrix'. Elemental Hero Avian was a LVL 3 WIND Attribute humanoid winged creature with 1000 ATK points and 1000 DEF points. Elemental HERO Burstinatrix was a LVL 3 FIRE Attribute human with 1200 ATK points and 800 DEF points. "I'm combining 'Avian' and 'Burstinatrix' to Fusion Summon 'Elemental HERO Flame Wingman' in Attack Mode." Elemental HERO Flame Wingman was a hybrid of the Elemental Heroes. It was a LVL 8 WIND Attribute monster with 2100 ATK points and 1200 DEF points. This monster can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

Roxxy smirked. "I knew you would do that," she said. "I activate my face down card, 'Chthonian Polymer'."

Elsa was confused. "What does Chithonian Polymer do?" The teen asked.

"I thought I would find you two here," Nora said. "Chthonian Polymer is a normal Trap card. It activates only when your opponent Fusion Summons a Fusion Monster. Tribute 1 monster to take control of that Fusion Monster."

Elsa gasped. "Oh no," Elsa said. "Blake just summoned a fusion monster."

"Seriously Blake, you wouldn't shut up about that Wingman," Roxxy said. "I'm going to tribute 'Reborn Zombie' and take control of 'Flame Wingman'."

"Since 'Flame Wingman' was a special summon," Blake said. "I can summon a new monster. I summon 'Clayman' in Defense Mode." Elemental Hero Clayman was a LVL 4 EARTH Attribute rock-like humanoid warrior with 800 ATK points and 2000 DEF points. It was an Elemental Hero with a clay body built-to-last. He will preserve his Elemental Hero colleagues at any cost.

Roxxy scowled. She drew 'Chthonian Soldier'. "I summon 'Chthonian Soldier' in Attack Mode," she said. Chthonian Soldier was an LVL 4 DARK Attribute armored warrior soldier. When this monster is destroyed, your opponent takes any Battle Damage you took from that battle. It had 1200 ATK points and 1400 DEF points. "Flame Wingman attack Clayman. Infernal Rage." 'Flame Wingman" attacked and destroyed 'Clayman'. "And don't forget. Flame Wingman's special ability." The effect of 'Flame Wingman' then activated, inflicting damage to Blake equal to her destroyed monster's ATK (Blake: 4000 → 3200 LP). "Now, Chthonian Soldier, attack Blake directly. Wind Storm Slash." 'Chthonian Soldier' attacked directly (Blake: 3200 → 2000 LP). Roxxy smiled. "Now, I'll set this card face down."

"This is a great school," Blake said. "I can't wait to meet the other students here." Blake drew a card. She smiled. "I summon 'Sparkman' in Attack mode." Elemental Hero Sparkman was a LVL 4 LIGHT Attribute warrior with 1600 ATK points and 1400 DEF points. It was an Elemental Hero and a warrior of light who proficiently wields many kinds of armaments. His Shining Surge Flash cuts off the path of villainy. "'Sparkman', show that 'Chthonian Soldier' why you're the brightest of the bunch. Attack, Static Shockwave." (Roxxy: 4000 → 3600 LP).

"Forgot about my creature's special ability," Roxxy said. "You take the same amount of damage as I did. The effect of 'Chthonian Soldier' then activates, inflicting damage to Blake equal to the Battle Damage Roxxy just took (Blake: 2000 → 1600 LP).

"And I leave it on this card face down," Blake said.

"Wow, you really are a weak tramp," Roxxy said as she drew a card. She then ordered 'Flare Wingman' to attack 'Sparkman', but Blake activated her face-down 'Mirror Gate' to switch control of both battling monsters before damage calculation. Mirror Gate was a Normal Trap card that activates only when an opponent's monster battles a monster that you control. Switch control of the battling monsters, and then calculate damage. 'Flame Wingman' destroys 'Sparkman' (Roxxy: 3600 → 3100 LP). The effect of 'Flame Wingman' then activated (Roxxy: 3100 → 1500 LP). "I'm not going to lose to a spoiled brat like you. I activate the spell card 'Chthonian Blast' to destroy 'Flame Wingman' and inflict damage to your life points equal to half the ATK of 'Flame Wingman'." (Blake: 1600 → 550 LP). 'Chthonian Blast' was a Normal Spell card that activates only when a face-up monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Destroy 1 face-up monster on the field and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of its ATK. "Now, I activate my face down card 'Call of the Haunted' to revive 'Chthonian Soldier' (1200/1400) in Attack Mode." 'Call of the Haunted' was a Continuous Trap card. Activate this card by targeting 1 monster in your GY; Special Summon that target in Attack Position. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card. "Now, I'm going to sacrifice my 'Chthonian Soldier' to Tribute Summon 'Mefist the Infernal General' in Attack Mode." 'Mefist the Infernal General' was a LVL 5 DARK Attribute fiend monster with 1800 ATK points and 1700 DEF points. When this card attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, discard 1 card randomly from your opponent's hand.

Blake drew a card, 'Monster Reborn'. Before Blake could make a move, the Duel ended with no result due to external influences. Nora pointed out that off-hours duels are prohibited and Roxxy knew this.

Blake, Elsa and Nora escaped from the night watchmen. Blake was being pushed out by Elsa. Nora was disappointed that the duel ended so suddenly but Blake assured her that she would have won, as she showed Nora 'Monster Reborn', the card she drew before Nora had to call off the duel.

Had the night watchmen not interfered, Blake would have played 'Monster Reborn' to revive 'Elemental Hero Flame Wingman' and won the duel. 'Monster Reborn' was a normal Spell card that allows players to select 1 Monster Card from either your opponent's or your own Graveyard and place it on the field under your control in Attack or Defense Position (face-up). This is considered a Special Summon.

Blake and Elsa head back to the dorm and Nora thinks to herself this will be an interesting year.

Maddy had the following powers via the Venom Symbiote;

Black Symbiotic Costume: Maddy is possessed by the symbiote, but has found a way to partner with it as a friend, thus retaining her full mental faculties while in Venom form; unlike when Helen Obsborn attempted to be Venom, Maddy is in complete harmony with the symbiote and never loses control when her temper flares. The symbiote has some of Arachnid's spider powers, granting Maddy access to those powers as well. This version of the symbiote is also capable of absorbing weaponry and armor, as when she took the missiles from Beetle. As revealed by Dr. Connors, this was because Maddy's personal DNA proved so ideal to it, the Symbiote bonded to her genetics on a cellular level. This makes it nearly impossible for the Symbiote to be removed from Maddy, greatly reducing her vulnerability to electricity and sonic vibrations.

Shape Shifting: The Symbiote gives Agent Venom a virtually malleable anatomy which allows it to create countless tendrils for transport or modifying weapons and technologies, which can be used to further aid her in battle.

Superhuman Durability: She is also far more resilient to physical damage than Arachnid herself, able take the brute force of Rhino or Hulk and recover quickly after.

Superhuman Strength: Combining the Symbiote's own strength with that of the replicated Arachnid's and Maddy's, Agent Venom is much stronger than Arachnid, able to effortlessly rip heavy and solid structures bolted in from their surface.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Agent Venom has a greatly accelerated healing speed, able to heal broken bones and damaged flesh instantaneously. She can also heal infections to an extent that modern medical technologies cannot. The Venom Symbiote can also instantly regenerate its own bio-mass, effectively making Agent Venom's bodysuit form indestructible.

Technology Morphing: Agent Venom can morph and enhance vehicles and other forms of machinery and technology using the Symbiote.

Assimilation: Agent Venom is able to absorb and retain the abilities of others that it has merged with. In addition, unlike the previous Venom Symbiote's could only merge with living creatures and morph it into its own likeness, this one is able to assimilate technology into its mass, where it can then use it as the original owner would and even enhance its usage.
