"Ahoy shipmates," she said, "we will soon be entering the quay. Those of you who have had too much to drink, please hand your car keys to the Captain and he will allocate a crew member to drive you home."
I knew I would be way over the limit and handed my keys in along with most of the other drivers on board. As I led my allocated driver to my car, I noticed that the girl who had removed my boxers was about to climb into the driving seat of a mini-bus containing most of the netball team. She caught me looking and waved to me, with my boxers still dangling from her hand. I smiled and returned her wave.
The journey home was uneventful and, in fact, the driver had to awaken me when we arrived. He handed me back my keys and I made my way to the flat for a good night's sleep.
