"Lilliana," Tayla said to her sultrily as she arrived at the table.
"Tayla," the doctor breathed as she leaned in, her lips parting in invitation.
"Ah, ah! Dinner first," Tayla told her once girlfriend, while making a covertly licking her upper lip, so only Lilliana could see it. It took all every ounce of willpower the woman possessed to not just tackle Tayla right there. She simply nodded and moved to seat her date, before moving to seat herself. The doctor knew that before the night was over, she'd have her girlfriend back.

Lamkhar Kantori had just arrived and was waiting to be seated. He didn't wait long, as the waiters knew he liked things a certain way at his table. Just as the waiter bustled up to guide him to his table, D'zalah arrived, wearing a tasteful dress for dinner. She'd even had her hair done in a fancy updo, making her look more like her own mother, which made Lamkhar smile.
The man noted D'zalah's glow, wondering who was making her smile so much. He knew that she'd had dalliances here and there, and he didn't judge her for it. Naucturi women were selective with their mates. So, getting out there to experience all that could be experienced was not only allowed, but encouraged. Whoever she was seeing now must be someone special to make her smile like this.
"Ready for dinner, D'zalah?" he asked as she approached him.
"Always, dad."

Thus ends chapter 31, among the few that doesn't have a cliffhanger attached to it. Wanted to end this one on a happy note and give everyone something to smile about on this one. So far, things are going well for the Darkstrider crew, but their journey and their struggles are far from over! If the battle of Veldhern was anything to go by, just wait until they get to Prodosia, a place so lawless, it makes Nar Shaddaa look like a tourist trap! Bonus points if you know the reference!

Also, Nat and Jaesa together make an awesome and inventive combination, ... How much time will the wealthy and Broken World get to do their fleets upgrades, before the Collective (or anyone else) springs another attack, do you think? They followed along, surrounded by the escort of soldiers, but staying aware of any potential treachery.
Alex, 40yr old experienced commander walks in with no plan. Zero believable planning for treachery. Needed to prepare protocols for Stanley, Delilah and the sentinel bots. eg. Hades gun to blow up station as failsafe threat. Doesn't make sense for the character to believe his new Aether powers is capable of stopping all threats. His thinking process isn't explained.

Anonymousover 1 year agoThe title of this chapter and the next one is different than the rest of the series, so Literotica breaks it out as it's own 2 part series which also messes up the "(Next Part)" flow under "read more of this series" as it skips two chapters.
Anonymousover 2 years agoAm liking the story more and more as it progresses but I just waned to mention one thing that I forgot to waay back in one of the first chapters: you had referenced a med clinic having a defibrillator unit and the context seemed to make one think they are a tool that is used to "jump start" a persons stopped heart which is completely incorrect. CPR is used to try to restart a persons heart that has quit beating while a defibrillator is ONLY used to correct a heart that is fibrillating (the valves get out of sync keeping the blood from flowing properly... I think... lol).
What I DO know is that the scenario where a patient flat-lines and someone 'defribs' them to get their heart beating again is pure Hollywood theatrics... nothing more.
