Snuggling up, we slept until the morning.
Aly brought us food and drink, and asked for the reassurance we gave her.
I reminded her of her promise, and gave her some silver and gold for her services. As it turned out, it was the best investment I ever made, and the fact that she had fallen in lust with us helped enormously.
We were sad to leave her, but Beirut beckoned, and we complete the last leg on the journey in another two days, arriving back the week before the Pasch.
It was a relief to be back in own quarters, and Mel was delighted to see us both. Our reunion was long and loving. A brief but wonderful interlude before the war clouds burst.
