"Why?" Hornet asked, honestly curious. She knew of Gap, but she hadn't remembered anything particularly impressive beyond a few major evacuations and the time she had taken out a pirate fleet with a kinetic handgun and a black hole for gravitational slingshotting.
Hugh chuckled. "She had an amazing rack and did porn."
"Hugh!" Hornet exclaimed. "...really?"
"Oohhh yeah," Hugh said, laughing, then bumping his nose against her cheek. "Come on, I was super embarrassing, now you have no excuse! You must tell me, or else you'll be stealing mortification that must be shared."
Hornet giggled despite herself. But she was fractionally slower than she should have been to answer -- because Hugh took it upon himself to lick her cheek again. Fortunately, he used less drool this time, so her cheek was only slightly damp as she laughed and shoved at his huge, wolfen head. "Hugh! Ack! Fine! Fine!" Her cheeks burned. "My favorite was the CNS The Widening Gyre." She said, biting her lip.
"Oh, was it because of the time he fought the entire Corevore Armada to a standstill until reinforcements could show up, and saved the Gemcutter homeworld?" Hugh asked.
Hornet's cheeks heated. She had to be honest, eh?
"...it's cause he's so dreamy," she said, her clutching her hands to her chest.
Hugh laughed, then looked up at the sky.
"So, when you become a Starship, what's the first thing you're going to do?" he asked.
"Walk on the photosphere of a star!" Hornet said, immediately. "You?"
"Bang Alicia Trelfer," Hugh said, without hesitation.
"The...actress?" Hornet's cheeks burned.
"Absolutely," Hugh said.
The two sat in silence for a bit more.
Then both burst out laughing.
