A wonderfully written tale! Well put together and certainly very yummy too. Thank you for sharing your lovely story with us!
A slow start but warmed up and just had to finish it ASAP. Maybe a little clichéd and a little confusing at times as I think names were mixed up but nevertheless a stimulating read and not one I'd expect in a contest.
Perhaps at 12 pages it's too long for a contest?
Deserves more than it's current rating and gets a 5 from me.
Well written. Characters came quite alive within the juxtaposition of gender roles we suffer from. Points well made, indeed.
Thanks for this great story. As another commentator already said, this is literature. The setting is so well-written with the quaint little republic connected by railways and the description of the political landscape. Couldn't help but read all of it in one go.
I enjoyed this. Delicious flow and feel of bygone days, and I appreciated the gender reversal setting. Could’ve been a teensy bit shorter, though.
