This audio story is created from my story with the same name published in November 2020. It tells the tale of a wife on her way to an illicit affair suddenly hearing a voice in her head trying to convince her not to go through with it. There is no sex in this story.

It was created using Amazon Polly and Audacity. It is a test of this technology. Please tell me what you think.

I started just to check the technology. I stopped after 10 seconds because of the machine speech.

Again author writing her saying Love of life etc. No Way!!!

Nobody can love someone and disrespect, dishonor, and lie like that. Just another cheating slut who needed more punishment. After telling parents they sue her for custody and allow no contact to daughters

I nearly stopped listening several times. The emotionless voices made it difficult to listen to.

Love the story of course. It’s a great story. But an audio (book, story, etc.) is all about the addition of emotional engagement that the audio voice brings to the experience. The computer generated audio doesn’t take away from the story in my view, but it doesn’t add anything to it either. An interesting follow on experiment would be to assemble human actors for a re-creation of this audio and then compare the two efforts. I suspect that emotions from the human actors would make the new product into something quite extraordinary.
