It's been a while since I was able to complete a story. I don't imagine my absence was cause for alarm, though. Between working full-time and having a passel of kids (I still have 4 living at home and that's less than half of the total!) I just don't have as much time to write as I would like.

Thank you in advance for the comments and criticisms. This does have a wife cheating on her husband but is not a BTB tale.

THREELATIONSHIP

She was leaving him.

<><><><><>

Wes had come home for lunch before so this wasn't unheard of. He didn't do it consistently and there was no real pattern to it, but he probably did it 2 or 3 times a month when his schedule allowed and when he knew Ann wasn't working. He hadn't let his wife know, but then he never did. She was always delighted to see him and sometimes he'd even get a quick blow job out of it, with a promise that he would take care of her that evening.

The apartment was quiet as he entered through the front door, but as he tuned into the surroundings he heard...something. The only noises Wes could hear were coming from the bedroom, and they were not the sounds one makes when they are alone. It was possible that Ann was watching television while relaxing in bed, or perhaps browsing the internet and watching an interesting video clip that had caught her interest.

But that's not what it sounded like. It sounded like two people having a conversation in hushed tones. Not like they were trying to avoid being overheard but as if they were talking intimately. It was something he and Ann did often, just speaking softly to each other. It was a tone of love and affection, and she seemed to be using it with someone else.

He crept down the long hallway to the master bedroom at the end, which was the obvious source of the noise. In his own bed? Really?

Wes wasn't much of a fighter; never had been. He might be willing to get physical if it was someone his size, but he didn't know what he'd do if he walked in on his wife with a man that was bigger than he was. He continued forward anyway, hoping for the best but fearing the worst. He felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest as he peered around the door jamb.

There, in the bed, lay his sweet and beautiful Ann, her small, bare breasts exposed to the daylight. There was another person there, but it was not a man. It was Ann's best friend, Kathy. She was topless as well, though the way she lay across Ann's body all he could see was the side of Kathy's boob mashed against Ann's abdomen. He presumed they were naked but a blanket draped across them at their waists concealed their lower halves. At this moment they had stopped talking and were gently kissing.

He pulled his head away from the door opening, not wanting to be seen. He wasn't sure how to feel at this moment. Yes, she was technically cheating on him, but it's not like it was something he could offer her. He did wonder how long it had been going on. He knew Ann and Kathy had been involved while they were in college, but she had never suggested it was ongoing or that she had a desire to do it again. Kathy had always been a lesbian, but he figured Ann was not since she had moved on from the relationship with her and married him.

As he sat musing, things started heating up in the bedroom. He heard some moans and groans and a whispered 'right there, just like that'. He risked a peek around the corner to find Kathy having moved between Ann's legs and licking her furry pussy. She had shaved during college but had let it grow when Wes expressed his preference for the hairy look. Ann was pinching her own nipples and urging Kathy on. Wes watched with interest, and a raging erection, as Ann built toward her orgasm, finally cumming with a long grunt and with Kathy's head crushed between her thighs.

Wes quickly ducked back out of sight to be sure they didn't catch sight of him not that they were done, but the moaning soon started again. He peeked in again to see that they had traded places. If watching Kathy go down on Ann had gotten him aroused, watching his sweet wife eagerly lick Kathy's slit had him on the edge of blowing a load right there in his slacks. He managed to control himself and slid back out of the doorway.

Over the next 45 minutes Wes considered what this might mean for him going forward. Of course, as he did that he was unable to resist the urge to peek around the corner on occasion to watch the action.

'Will I get to actually sit and watch them?' was the first thought that popped into his head. The part of him that was angry she was cheating on him was being overruled by the part of him that got so aroused by the prospect of openly watching his wife with another woman.

A quick peek around the corner found Kathy on her back, with Ann straddling her face and using the headboard for support. In this position Wes could see that Kathy shaved her pussy.

'Maybe we'll have a threesome' he thought next. Even if he wasn't allowed to actually touch Kathy, having sex with Ann while she played with Kathy could be fun.

Another quick peek saw no change in position but Ann was now reaching back to rub Kathy's clit. Jesus, that was hot.

'I love my sex life with Ann so I wouldn't want to do this very often' Wes decided. A couple times a year might be fun but he thought more than that would be too much.

"I love my wife, and I want her to be happy' Wes reasoned, and if she needed some time with another woman then he felt he could live with that. It's not like he could argue that he had tits and a pussy she could enjoy!

He peeked back in and they had moved into a 69 position, with Wes getting a remarkable view of Ann burying her face into Kathy's crotch. Christ!

The thoughts continued to fill his brain as he considered what this would mean and just how much he would be comfortable with. He hadn't come to any real conclusions by the time Ann and Kathy brought their lovemaking to an end. The moans and groans and grunts had stopped, but the telltale smacking of kissing lips could be heard. He risked one more peek and found their lips locked with a passion that actually stirred a little jealousy. A quick glance at his watch told him he should get back to work, but just as he was about to rise, he heard Kathy speak.

"Have you decided when you're gonna tell him?"

"Not yet. I know, Kath, and I'm sorry, but it's not easy to bring up."

Wes smiled as he considered the possible permutations of what that meant. Obviously, she wants to tell me about her and Kathy, and maybe get me involved somehow, but she's probably worried about how I'll react.

"It's not gonna get any easier by waiting," Kathy responded.

"I know, but he's a good guy and he doesn't deserve this."

Wes' grin drooped a little bit. 'Why wouldn't I deserve a threesome, especially if I'm such a good guy?'

"What about what you deserve, Annie, and what I deserve? I've got my life on hold waiting for this. If you're not going to do it then say so, but if you are it needs to be soon, for all our sakes."

"I will, I swear, but I just don't how to tell him that I'm leaving him for another woman."

Suddenly Wes couldn't breathe. It was like there was an elephant sitting on his chest. All of the air had been sucked out of the room and the pressure on his lungs was unbearable. He stood as quietly as he could, aware that the least little sound would alert them to his presence. He was pretty sure they kept on talking but he could no longer understand them.

Somehow, he managed to get out of the apartment undetected. He turned on his car and drove away immediately, but came to a stop just a couple blocks away when he nearly ran off the road. He had needed to get away from the apartment, just in case they heard something or went outside, but he was in no shape to drive until he calmed down.

Alone in his car, Wes took several deep breaths and finally managed to get his heartbeat to slow down and his breathing to regulate. He had been unable to focus there for a few minutes but finally he calmed down, and made his way back toward work, but not to work just yet.

He pulled into a small parking lot that was attached to an office building. How many times had he driven by here on his way to work and read the sign for Lusher and Lusher, Family Attorneys? He walked into the small office and was greeted by a woman who appeared to be in mid-40's.

"Good afternoon, sir. Can I help you?

"I...well, I...guess I need a divorce attorney."

"I'm sorry to hear that, sir. Unfortunately, there's no one in the office right now. Mr. Lusher is out of town for court and Miss Lusher is at a mediation. I can set an appointment for you, though."

"Miss Lusher, not missus? I assumed they were married."

"No, brother and sister. Is that a problem?"

"No, just not what I expected is all. When can I see someone?"

"Miss Lusher has an opening at 9:30 tomorrow morning."

He took the appointment and filled out some information forms. He called out sick for the rest of the day, knowing he wouldn't be able to get any work done, and drove straight down the highway until he came across a rest stop he could pull into. He pulled into a spot and tried to consider what he was now faced with. It wasn't long before the emotional fatigue overtook him and he dozed off.

He woke about an hour later still not feeling well. He felt well enough to drive but decided to use these feelings to his advantage. He made the drive home and walked in the door. He was earlier than usual and, if he had been thinking straight, might have considered the possibility that his wife and her lover were still at it. They both worked but could have taken the afternoon off. However, the house was empty so apparently they had both gone back to work.

Wes wrote a note on the dry erase board they had affixed to the wall letting Ann know he wasn't feeling well and was going to bed early. It wasn't even a lie as he still felt like he could throw up at any moment and had no doubt he looked genuinely ill.

Even though he felt sick, sleep didn't come. He continued to lay in bed even as he heard Ann come through the door calling his name. She eventually made her way into the bedroom and crawled into bed behind him.

"Wes, baby, are you awake?" she whispered.

He feigned sleep as best he could, trying to mimic what he thought was 'sleep breathing'. She must have been satisfied that he was sleeping because she pulled his blanket up over him and left quietly, closing the door behind her. Relieved that he had managed to fool her for the moment, he was able to relax and fall into a fitful sleep.

He awoke to Ann gently shaking him and calling his name. He opened his eyes and took in her pretty face. She had long, straight brown hair and that girl-next-door beauty. He smiled on seeing her until he remembered he was about to lose her.

"Hey baby, how're you feeling?"

"Terrible," he responded, which was true on all levels.

"Are you achy? Nauseous? Fever?" she asked.

"Just sick all over."

She had him sit up and gave him some ibuprofen and had him drink a cup of water. She got him out of bed and took him to the restroom, believing he had caught some sort of bug. That finished, she took him back to bed.

"You should call in tomorrow. Even if you're feeling better you might have a relapse."

He had thought about that but figured she might try to stay home with him to take care of him, and under the circumstances he didn't think he could handle a whole day with her. He had decided to go into work no matter what for that reason, but he couldn't very well tell her that.

"I'll see how I feel in the morning," he finally told her.

"Okay, honey, but I think you should call out. Let me know if you need anything, okay?"

Wes smiled and put his head to his pillow. He didn't know how he'd be able to keep this up until the papers were ready but he saw no other way. He didn't travel for business so there was no way to leave town without raising suspicion, but he really wanted to have the divorce papers in hand before sitting down with her. The truth was that once the confrontation was over, he didn't think he could stand to see her again any more than necessary. It would only remind him of what he had lost. He planned to confront her and give her the papers, and then that would be it. Since this is what she wanted, she should be happy.

He left the house as if he was going to work, telling Ann he felt much better and maybe it was just something he ate. Instead of going to work, he went to a local diner and had breakfast to pass the time until his appointment with the attorney. If you had asked him later what he ate, he wouldn't have been able to tell you. Finally, it was time for his appointment and he drove to the lawyer's office.

He was shown into the office of Miss Kimberly Lusher and offered a drink, selecting just to have some water. Kimberly Lusher was a plain yet attractive women in her mid-30s, with light brown hair and conservative clothing. She sat at her desk with his information form in front of her.

"So, you're seeking a divorce, Mr. Hartley?"

"Sort of."

"Sort of?"

"It's my wife that wants the divorce, not me, but she's having trouble asking for it so I decided to just get it started."

The look of confusion was evident on the attorney's face.

"Perhaps you should tell me a little bit more."

Wes recounted the experience from the day before. He was a little embarrassed to admit to the part where he sat outside the room listening and occasionally looking, but if the attorney was shocked or disgusted it didn't show; she simply took notes. Finally, he got to the end of his narrative, in particular the part about Ann saying she was going to leave him for Kathy, and waited for a response.

"Mr. Hartley, have you spoken to your wife about this?"

"Not yet. I intend to but I wanted to have the papers in my hand."

"Mr. Hartley, I understand that this has affected you greatly, and I understand your reacting the way you have. But don't you think you might be jumping the gun a little bit. Perhaps this other woman is pressuring her and your wife is just telling her what she wants to hear."

"Maybe, what I saw in the bedroom left little room for doubt."

"Of course, but that doesn't prove she really intends to actually divorce you."

"Miss Lusher..."

"Look, Mr. Hartley, I'll draw up these papers for you and take your money, if that's what you want. All I'm saying is that when you talk to her, try to do it with an open mind. You may only be seeing part of the picture. I've handled a lot of divorces and things aren't always as they seem."

"Thank you for your advice, Miss Lusher. How soon can you have those ready?"

"I can have them ready for you to pick up tomorrow afternoon."

"That'll be fine. Thank you."

With that taken care of, Wes proceeded to work. He had hoped that getting that over with would relieve some of the anxiety he was feeling but it didn't. There was no way he could face Ann tonight, either, so about mid-afternoon he sent her a text that leaving early yesterday had put him behind and he would be staying late to catch up on some work. She responded with a request that he not push himself too hard as she didn't want him getting sick again. 'Wow', he thought, 'it sure seems like she really loves me.'

He stayed at work until 9:00pm, doing nothing for the last 90 minutes or so other than just avoiding going home. He got home around 9:30 and Ann greeted him with her usual love and enthusiasm.

"If you're feeling better, baby, I've got a way to make you feel waaaay better," she whispered in his ear.

Wes couldn't help but get aroused, his manhood springing to life. Ann had never failed to arouse him and tonight was no exception. 'What the hell,' he thought. 'It'll probably be the last time and it's not like I have to worry about sloppy seconds.'

Wes pulled her into the bedroom and they undressed each other. He loved every inch of her body. She was only about 5 feet tall (if you asked her she insisted she was five-one). Her body type was more short and stocky, as opposed to Kathy's taller and slimmer, but she was very active and didn't carry any extra weight.

As they made love Wes could detect no difference in her behavior toward him. She sucked his dick with eagerness, called his name (and sometimes God's) as his tongue teased her swollen clit to orgasm, and bucked her hips hard against him when entered her. She seemed to be trying to get him deeper and deeper with every crash of their hips. God, he was going to miss her!

When they were finished, Ann went into the bathroom and grabbed a warm washcloth. As always, she gently cleaned Wes and then herself before climbing back into bed. They always slept naked after making love and tonight was no exception. Wes' head was reeling from the mixed messages he was getting. How could she behave the way she is while planning to leave him for someone else? It didn't make any sense.

Wes mostly stared his way through the next day at work, which was Thursday. Had it really only been two days since he saw his wife having sex with Kathy? It didn't seem possible but there was no arguing the timeline.

He left work a little early so he could stop by the attorney's office to pick up the paperwork. He signed his portion of the forms and the clerk notarized them. Kimberly Lusher wasn't in the office herself so he was simply handed the paperwork, though there was a handwritten note from her attached to the manila envelope.

Mr. Hartley,

Enclosed you will find the divorce papers prepared as requested. I again urge you to listen to your wife with an open mind.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Lusher

Wes nodded to the clerk that handed him the envelope then walked quietly out of the office. While he appreciated Kimberly's advice, he knew what he had seen and what he had heard, and to him that left no doubt as to where Ann's feelings lay.

He drove around a bit trying to steel himself for the confrontation that was coming. Finally, he pulled into the parking lot right about his usual time. He noted that Kathy's car was in one of the visitor parking spaces and couldn't help but wonder what they had been up to. He had no doubt there would be no outward sign of anything having gone on.

He walked into the apartment and Ann was working on something for dinner. Kathy was sitting at the table chatting with Ann as she cooked, but as he entered she made to leave.

"Well, I'll leave you guys to your evening."

"Actually," Wes said, "if you wouldn't mind staying, you should probably be here for this. Ann, we need to talk."

Ann and Kathy cast glances at each other but they did sit down at the kitchen table. I pulled the papers out of the envelope, noting Kimberly's business card attached to the packet, and slid them over to Ann.

"Ann, I'm filing for divorce."

The look on Ann's face was total surprise, which Wes thought was to be expected. She had expected this to happen on her timeline, when it was convenient for her. But nonetheless, Wes was surprised when she responded so vehemently. Wasn't this what she wanted? She leapt to her feet.

"What the hell! You're divorcing me? What the hell is this about?"
