So anyway, Doc and his family were out celebrating his parent's fifth wedding anniversary.

Yes, you read that correctly; fifth, with their thirty-seven-year-old son and their fifteen-year-old son.

And don't you know there's a story waiting to be told about that?

Setting the record straight:

Doctors performing Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) Reconstruction surgery, most commonly known as Tommy John surgery, are pretty well unanimous in stating that the procedure does not enhance performance are allow the person having the surgery to throw harder and faster than before having the surgery. And yet...there is anecdotal evidence that the surgery has helped pitchers to the point that there have been requests by some baseball pitchers to have the surgery performed on healthy UCLs.

There have been no successful uses of adamantium in Tommy John surgery or any other sports medicine procedures, although there is rumored to be ongoing testing with promising results in a specialized clinic located at 1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center, Westchester County, New York.

Love baseball stories. For me it was about the games.

So…. This was a story about his mom’s infidelity. The MC never experienced any kind of cheating. I am sure that somewhere there are divorced people who felt good about the MC having a good life, after the drama of the parent’s divorce. But it was pretty stupid to have them remarry, after ex wifey had a restraining order put in place against him. So I rate the story a “ meh”. Did not drive any emotions for me.

The pitching prowess is a bit excessive, but you make a good point. 4 stars.

For a good reporter some of the past could have been dug up.

A well written and pleasant story w/o too much angst and drama about evil women. rk

if you want absolute fact read a biography . this is fiction !! license has been taken with several things in this story . yes,the likelyhood of a another injury is fairly high, and the possibility of the girlfriend cheating in college is also high, but not 100 % either .

A good story, but with a few flaws. One is a high school kid throwing as hard as Aroldis Chapman, who is a very big man. I

There is no indication that Lee is appreciably taller and more muscular than other high c

School boys, a d after that college and pro pitchers. 115-mph pitches are basically laughable. At 6'8"" a d 250 Pounds, possibly, but no tall and muscular pitchers have thrown in that range.also, a ball hit by a bat which results in an out is not a hit. You also mixed up names a couple times or so, Lee for his dad, and a few spelling errors that a diligent proofread should catch, like Sanford for Stanford. Also, of course he would not get a $100 million contract as a drafted rookie. I suspect in the lower millions range.

Still, an enjoyable tale. Solid four stars for a good read.

The flow of the plot of this story is fairly straightforward simple and true. Nice writing.

The inclusion of a child's game as such a central part of a story made it unreadable for me. I'm sure there are plenty of people that think the opposite, just as there are many people that sniff petrol.

The idea though that such a successful college player and then pro wouldn't have girls throwing themsekves at him is as absurd as the idea that he remained celibate.

Perhaps he was a homosexual, as he sure cums across as one.

Great story! I love baseball, and I love real loving wives like Sloan. Knowing LW stories like I do, I kept expecting Doc to blow up his arm, and Sloan to cheat. Thankfully, neither happened. Mom was a cheating bitch, but rehabilitated herself enough to have another baby with her betrayed husband. Very well written and entertaining story.

Great ball story! True fictional art.

I, like 95% of the rest of the planet, haven't a clue about baseball, so a lot of this went right over my head. Other than that, it's your average RAAC story, nuff said.

1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center, Westchester County, New York. Well, that's Off Kilter, no denying. Lol. Good story.

Excellent story from beginning to end, thank you! Sure wish you'd do away with the dot dot dot's because they sound terrible in a text reader and so do the compound words but I can live with those. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s.

Ok, I call bs on this. I have looked up Guinness records with no mention of him, nothing on utube. Reached out UT they have no record of him going there much less playing ball. Rangers or MLB never heard of him. Wished you would have stated at the start it was made up!!!!! just jokin, never did that. Great b-ball story 5 stars

Sometimes it's nice to read a story with happy endings for all involved.

Good job, and awarded appropriately.
