Unsure if I was being robbed, I grabbed the cup from the nightstand and chucked it across the room at the offending shadow.

"Ouch! What the hell Nash?"

I squinted. "Penn?"

"Yes, Penn," he shot back, clearly offended that I didn't know it was him. "Damn, who did you think it was?"

I was too tired to answer. It was Penn, which meant I could go back to sleep. I don't even think I replied to his question before I closed my eyes and passed back out.

CuriousAudrey,

The only thing that needs to be "chile" is your absurd, idiotic comments. God, is it annoying to see your brainless comments on every chapter.

Also, I think with what happens in future chapters, it's been teased a lot from these early chapters. Nash seems to be afraid of finding out the answers. Examples such as not checking up if Lee is truly happy throughout their marriage, as mentioned during the first confrontation about the cheating and he expected Lee to say it first. The same thing happens with Penn. He doesn't know anything about the Cam situation, but he never did the confrontation on Penn about it. Combine this with his tendency to run away from problems, it causes the mess in future chapters.

Doesn't help that his "I don't want to ask" habit is the complete opposite of Penn's "go on, talk to me." Both of them sure have issues that can be sorted out, and it's a bit sad that the epilogue seems to be too early. A great ending, but I wish it would cover a bit more on how they get through these issues.

I can’t help but ctfu about any reader who treats this fictional story as though it’s real life lol it shouldn’t be that difficult to process some theory of why Penn hangs out with Nash so much or why his family is so eager to be around him.. I’m personally leaning towards Penn always having feelings for Nash, especially when he admitted to him that he never liked Lee from their younger years. Perhaps from jealous of him getting to be with the one man he’s always wanted..

I'm really curious how this is going to play out. Penn and Cam look like they have a mutual agreement for her to be his 'Beard' and/or have an open relationship, and it looks like everyone in the Knott family knows that.

So why can't they just tell Nash so he doesn't feel like a cheater and start a relationship with him, and why would Penn need a Beard? Looks like the entire family and even Cam wants them together.

I can't be happy for Nash and Penn until I understand what's happening with Penn and Cam. Also not him trying to convince himself and us that what him an Penn have is innocent flirtation chile

Thought I’d add a comment to Anonymous who is upset about Penn having sex with Jason and then the casual way him and Nash talk about it. I can definitely understand why that’s hard to read. You want them to have it all. In a perfect world Penn would get Nash as his first and last. But it’s not a perfect world. Penn had Nash on a pedestal and it wasn’t healthy. When things went south, he needed to distance himself. Nash had already been a long shot, should Penn have waited longer? Penn’s insecurities weren’t going to let him chase after Nash just to be rejected again. Jason was the space he needed. Nash already owned so much of Penn. Long term, I think it’s okay that Penn didn’t wait for Nash. What they have is so much bigger than virginity.

Also, how should the conversation about sex go? It’s two middle age men. Nash can’t be mad about Penn sleeping with Jason and Penn shouldn’t feel bad about it. Nash was the one who walked away. I like that they can talk about sex causally. I think it should maturity. It shouldn’t have to be a deep and emotional thing. It was done. It was the past. Time to move on. They need to focus on the future. That’s what really matters.
