The ship was her crowning achievement. Breaking into it and working on it secretly had been quite a caper, but Sita wanted to set herself up right in her new life and for the jobs that lay ahead. It was a heavily modified Osprey gunboat with a concealed, powerful payload of weapons, a slick engine and every other trick, bell and whistle she had been able to learn about over the last year. It could have easily fought its way off of the asteroid base, guns blazing, but that hadn't been necessary. None one of them, her former people or the Capitals, had been expecting the Rangers liaison officer herself to simply outright steal it and hop off into the void one day.

Her first stop was Starvale Station, and when the traffic controller radioed her to ask the name of her vessel Sita told him it was called the "Wayward Daughter."

Anonymousabout 3 years agoYou disappear for over 2 years and then hit us with 24 pages? I can barely remember what has happened and will most likely go back and re-read the previous chapter as a refresher. Why couldn't you write in smaller chunks and post more frequently?
